the banks and auto industry? exactly who do YOU think that is, ginwilly?

acceptable when it's the 1% who fucking ruined this country..

unacceptable when it's the person who's life was saved by the ACA.

and fuck paul krugman he's obviously delusional like most eccentric geeks who don't get laid.

bill gates? he did nothing but spend? couldn't spend his money quick enough that it would simply replicate itself.

like digging a hole in the sand at the ocean.

and yes, including bill.

PS. bucky said to shut up.
lol at bucky, I don't have him on ignore, I just ignore him. When he changes avatars I read one or two and it immediately hits me who it is (ssdd) and I scroll past new avatar. His sock puppets have gotten a response or two out of me, but they are generally less creepy.

I hope you don't think the auto industry and the banking industry are the same people. I also hope you don't think I'm applauding them either, if you get that from reading what I wrote then all hope is finally lost for you. We bailed out the autos because the banks wouldn't play with them anymore because they were having their own issues.

Martha Ford just made the Billionaire list after the death of her husband (tidbit, she was also the daughter of Harvey Firestone, a royal marriage). The reason Ford didn't receive a bailout is because their fiscal year ended June 30th and they got their loan before then. Simply an accounting quirk and it changed Americans perception totally. GM bad, Ford good (lucky).

I know by now you are not reading this because just the other day you replied fail to my post and then repeated the same thing I said. I didn't even bother to correct you, it's gotten to that point now.

The upward distribution was to the banks and autos. We tolerated the autos a bit more because there were union jobs at stake, not just jobs.

It's still not fiscal conservative magically by changing where the money is redistributed no matter how much @ttystikk throws insults. It's clear by now fiscal conservative to folks here means "doing what I like".

I'm with you people bitching about the bailouts, you lose me when you argue over how much a person by right should keep of their own money. Bill Gates paid more in taxes than 99.9% of us will make in a lifetime, but somehow he's not paying his fair share? gtfo

If you agree with Paul Krugman, then you don't even WANT fiscally conservative, he claims it's the evil that's ruining the world.
you're an idiot spouting talking points, and not even decent ones.

fiscally conservative means reducing deficits, no matter whether austrian (fairy dust with no track record of success anywhere, ever) or keynesian (proven to be sound economics with a massive track record of success).

democrats reduce deficits, republicans do the opposite.

if you want fiscally conservative, you want democrats.

You're making a bad mistake, both economically AND ethically; Bill Gates benefited and prospered from the same secure, business friendly, infrastructure intensive environment we all do and earned a fortune. You've utterly failed to even address WHY he deserves to pay LESS in taxes, let alone justify it.

The ten percent are now earning well over half of all the income made in this country. Why SHOULDN'T they be paying over half the taxes, too?

Or are you just a good company man, happy to shill for your corporate master so he'll keep throwing you crumbs from his table? HINT: the minute he thinks it will save him a dollar, he'll ship your job overseas and leave you starving in the street... just like he already has with millions of your countrymen.

You've obviously been watching Faux News too long, it's rotted your brain. The Koch brothers don't want 'fiscal conservatism', they want 'economic subjugation.' And you are handing it to them..for free.

And you call me stupid?

Same shit; got your facts wrong. Different day.

Ford didn't get a bailout because they saw the economic shitstorm coming and PLANNED AHEAD; they sold Volvo, Aston Martin and Jaguar, among others. This gave them the funds needed to ride out the crisis- and they were plenty (and justifiably) pissed when our government didn't reward them when handing out bailouts. It definitely sent the wrong message.

Mulally was a rockstar for sure, I'm not saying he wasn't. What you seem to be ignoring is the fact they secured a 30Billion dollar loan in June, in sept the financial crisis hit and GM and Chrysler couldn't get loans in December. Remember all of the dem drama chastising those guys for taking separate jets to DC while Bush was pres and giving just enough to kick the can then giving Obama credit for "saving" them? It was politics man and you obviously fell for it.

Ford was definitely ahead of the curve, but without that June loan, they were in the same boat. I don't mean to diminish the job Mulally did, because he definitely put Ford on the right track while it took a special never done before type bankruptcy to save GM and a government forced sale of a portion of Chrysler to Fiat to save them. I'm just saying, factually by the way, they would have had their hats in hand asking the gov for a handout too if their fiscal year ran the same as the other two.

Medical marijuana is legal in 23 states and Washington DC, Colorado, Alaska, Washington and Oregon have taken marijuana legalization one step further. The herb is legal for recreational use in these states.

This socially progressive wave of marijuana legislation reflects America’s changing views about its use. Even some Republicans are singing a new tune, especially Millennials. According to a new poll from Pew Research, 63% of GOP Millennials say legalize it.

Republican Millennials have quite a different opinion about pot than their elders. Only 47% of GOP Gen X’ers, 38% of Boomers and 17% of the Silent generation side with young Republicans on the issue of marijuana legalization.

Overall, a majority of Americans support the legalization of marijuana. As of October 2014, 52% of Americans favor its legal use. While young Republicans favor legalization, the majority of support comes from Democrats. A whopping 77% of Democratic Millennials support legalization, followed by 61% of Gen X’ers, 66% of Boomers and 44% of the Silent generation.

Marijuana legalization isn’t the only social issue where Republican Millennials are rebelling against their elders. Support for same-sex marriage follows a similar trajectory. While a minority of Gen X (42%), Boomer (30%) and Silent generation (20%) Republicans would like to grant gay and lesbian couples their civil right to marry, 58% of GOP Millennials are for the idea.

A poll conducted by Reason-Rupe offers further insight into the minds of young Republicans. They concluded that social issues are more of a driving factor for GOP Millennials than economic issues,

“A majority—53 percent—of millennials say they would support a candidate who described him or herself as socially liberal and economically conservative, 16 percent were unsure, and 31 percent would oppose such a candidate.

The fact that a socially liberal, fiscally conservative candidate mainly attracts liberals over conservatives indicates that social issues rather than economics largely drive millennials’ political judgments.

It also suggests millennials are more socially liberal than they are economically liberal.”

Oh... oh man that's satisfying!
It's satisfying because everything you've said about Republicans is bullshit?

Yeah, absorb the info for a minute...young GOPers are smarter and follow more pragmatic ideology than Obamaphone liberals.

There is no two party system, only two sides of the same shit-coin.

Did you even read the articles I linked to above? CAN you even read, let alone think critically?

When this country enacts tax and trade policies to rob and impoverish the working class and hand tax breaks to the rich, it isn't 'fiscally conservative.' It's CORRUPTION and OLIGARCHY, you idiot.

Try to get at least a few facts into that bee bonnet of yours before pooping off at the mouth with some drivel you've been fed by Faux News.
I hit the like button 6 times. Just so I could like it 3x times harder.

God damn you are full on fucking retarded.

Young GOP folks seem to be very much unlike yourself. You are not part of their crowd, as show the facts, they can actually think critically. Of course when you have no argument you resort to,

There is no two party system, only two sides of the same shit-coin.
You didn't support your premiss at all, and clearly don't hold the same views as these "Millenials", which means you are not encouraged by the idea that marijuana may soon be federally legal. In which case, what are you even doing here? My only conclusion is that you are a fucking narc snitch-ass cop. Or you are the biggest hypocrite on this here interwebs.

this is what happens when too few, hold too much:

The former monarch asked for Henry Essex Edgeworth de Firmont, an Irish cleric whose family had moved to France, to be his spiritual advisor and confessor during his final hours. Edgeworth wrote an account of the January 21, 1793 execution:

The steps that led to the scaffold were extremely steep in ascent. The king was obliged to hold to my arm, and by the pains he seemed to take, feared that his courage had begun to weaken; but what was my astonishment when, upon arriving at the last step, I saw him escape, so to speak, from my hands, cross the length of the scaffold with firm step to impose silence, by a single glance, upon ten or fifteen drummers who were in front of him, and with a voice so strong that it could be heard at the Pont-Tournant, distinctly pronounce these words forever memorable: “I die innocent of all the crimes imputed to me. I pardon the authors of my death, and pray God that the blood you are about to shed will never fall upon France.”

The executioners seized him, the knife struck him, his head fell at fifteen minutes after ten. The executioners seized it by the hair, and showed it to the multitude, whose cries of “Long live the Republic!” resounded to the very bosom of the Convention, whose place of meeting was only a few steps from the place of execution.

Thus died, at the age of thirty-eight years, four months, and twenty-eight days, Louis, sixteenth of his name, whose ancestors had reigned in France for more than eight hundred years.

Immediately after the execution, the body of Louis was transported to the cemetery of the ancient Church of the Madeleine. It was placed in a pit six feet square, close to the wall of the Rue d’Anjou, and dissolved instantly by a great quantity of quicklime with which they took the precaution to cover it.

In ten months, Marie Antoinette would meet a similar fate.

Pro private unions, I'm against public unions or when private unions get in bed with a political party.

I remember you bitching about lobbyist, how do you feel about unions lobbying? The way the auto bailouts structured it was absolutely done in an attempt to save the UAW, you for or against the bailouts?
