I read the whole article. I have been quoting that number (650,000) in my posts. I could be wrong as the report could be wrong, but I'll venture to say it is at least double the 57,000 figure, Before this report came out I was claiming over 100,000 and will stand by the figures I got from another website. 650,000 seemed a little steep, but 57,000 seems a little light, there are 3,000+ a month dying now + the initial large kill factor, I'd have to say 100,000+ is not excessive. don't you think there are a some deaths that are un-reported and just buried? who really knows, certainly not the American people. The less we know about Iraq the better for our Govt.

I have an open mind. Just because I don't agree with you on every issue, does not mean I can't see what you are saying. We are about 180 degrees apart on most things but that doesn't make you right and me wrong, only in your mind. The government you and I both loath has grown at an alarming rate. They have taken the teeth out of FEMA as witnessed by Katrina. Reading the propaganda they want you to believe is not the way to gather an accurate figure on the death toll. I believe that the 680,000 (reported over here) is a vast under-estimation.

They have to tell you the number is a lot less, no matter where you get your figures from. If 680,000 doesn't sit right in your minds how would the figure 2,000,000, which may not be as far-fetched as you might think.

No matter what we do we have to justify ourselves, no matter how evil whatever we did was. The Iraqi slaughter doesn't sit right with a lot of people, so our Governments bandy lesser figures to make us believe that not too many people died. Just to make us feel better. I'd put the figure at 1,000,000 give or take a 100,000.

I'm certainly not going to go out of my way to read bullshit when it is thrust at me evryday anyway.

I just read an article in Time magazine (June 2006) where the Bagdad coroner, One of them, was told by the Iraqi government not to post all the deaths as it would make them look bad, do you suppose the rest of the coroners were told this also? If so, how many unreported deaths do they have, Maybe the 650,000 figure is not so absured as some would have us think!

The Iraqi death toll is larger (BiBi [Benjamin Netanyahu] let it slip on the BBC "HardTalk" during the Israeli war that will go into part 2 soon), just like I believe the number of dead US fighters is larger then what the US is giving also........but hey, I am not going over to count the dead, so I guess we will only know the truth only after everything is over.

There would be 300 natural deaths a day,,,those are conservative numbers

So the article you have quoted could possibly bring about some merit

The Iraqi morgues have not issued these numbers,,,,you see its an out of date system
