I used to play a lot of live poker before I left Texas. I miss it. Play at Poker Stars now and then, for a freeroll. NL Hold 'em and 2-7 single draw. I much prefer live to online. Books I like are the Tao of Poker, the Zen of Poker, Phil Gordon's "Little Green Book", Caro's Book of Tells and Barry Greenstein's "Ace on the River".

Bodog!! That's what it must be. It seems familiar, they must of switched names. I remember playing on bodog only one time, must of totally forgot about the shit. Oh well, tourneys all night ;)
In 2011 I played on bodog in a free roll of 3000 players and I won it for 120 bucks. That's how I got started. I never really could spend money on poker because I spend money on weed. On the other hand, now poker has been giving me back for all my spent time of studying and practicing and learning. Just scooped 100 euros at the .50/1 euro table. I use moneybookers and that's how the money moves to my bank account. no credit card necessary

Super System is no longer really relevant except for the basics covered in just about every other beginner book. I like the Dan Harrington series. He has a good method of how to randomize your play without being readable because if done correctly, it really is random. Owen Gains' book on math is really good for all types of games. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/061539745X/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?ie=UTF8&m=A1H9EDFVP7AS6V
The Dan Harrington books are the best books in poker right now. Thney are like 8 years old but still very relevant. The first book teaches basic strategy, but when you get to the second book (the red book).... OH Man, it really taught me things that I never knew before. I owe every penny I ever won to Harrington on Holdem

Good luck! The only thing that kind of sucks is Bovada introduced "anonymous tables" so there are no screen names anymore. Everyone is player 1, player 2, player 3 etc......
They do this so that tracking software can no longer track your hands and give other players who use HUDs an unfair atvantage.

Thanks! I think that really sucks though.. I don't mind it that much though, it's just internet poker.

Any of you actually deposited? I didn't. I joined a site in December just to play some good freerolls, Highpulse Poker. Just reached 325 euros, that's my real bankroll and it was all free. Now I can play more seriously.

The state I live in considers Spade Club and Club WPT gambling so ironically I can't play either of those but I can deposit as much real money as I would like to a server based in Latvia.

Nevada? Really? Perfect example of government stifling competition and creating monopolies.

I was referring to Georgia where I was living before when I tried to download Club WPT it would not let me. It wasn't actually my state that wouldn't let me download it, it was Club Wpt won't let you buy a subscription in some states.

So fuck it I will just do full blown internet gambling instead of a $20 subscription per month.
In my opinion, the money tree exists, thanks to online poker. I never knew that using my brain could make money, yet I don't need some overhyped college degree to win. I'm lovin it:) Gooluck in your 100K tourney, sounds like lots of people will be playing, lots of donks, nits, and calling stations

Umm ya.. new on scene? Tell that to FTP that owes me 22K they robbed me after US closed em down. Nothing life changing but it was mine while I grinded HU NL Sit'N'Gos for some serious change over the last few years.

I miss it the money, not the grind but the money was too good not to do it. I am in US and stopped all online since Black Friday. I do hit the chumps at casinos now when I can make it there.
