Because they have different trophies, see this page: http://rollitup.org/help/trophies It's in particular the "seasoned user", "5k milestone", and especially the "great contributor" trophy that makes the difference.
The last one in practice means you need a post count of 1000 or more AND more likes than posts. Many who had thousands of posts before the current forums/like system (i.e all the members on the first pages of http://rollitup.org/members/ ) ie. those with most posts, are never going to get that "great contributor" trophy with the current settings.
Long story short, it means nothing especially with the currently configured trophies.
That said, I need 30 more likes to get on the first page (already counted at least 2 for this post
) which will surely piss off a few people so

Who keeps score anyway.Some members with many many post can't grow,or choose not too.And come here just to chat and meet people.
Its for sure no way to tell who can grow and who can't.
I would like to have some way with accolades or something,where the newbs KINDA
Know who to listen to or not,with there grows.Now you just get all this advise with a guess
on whether they know what there talking about or not.
I still see bad advise given daily and do my best to correct when possible.As I hope some
of you members do that grow,also.
Take a few mins out of your hectic day and help someone,with a growing problem.
Karmas a good thing.And who knows ya just might like it,or meet a friend.

Just sayin,Its hard for new ppl,they get a lot of advise some good some better.I don't grow right now unfortunately, but I think I know who to listen to for advice or not, and I can usually spot bullshit... so there is still some hope
They then have to research the person or advise.
There has to be a better way! A lot of gullables out there @Skuxx,they take the 1st advise given

I think resources are like 'guides'. Admin has created a couple of 'resources' and therefore wins at resourcefulness. Kind of a one horse race though...
It's a rubbish section to include in the notable members area. Could be swapped out for 'dick picks' or 'times banned' I recon

I think points should be deducted for spelling mistakes & general rude behavior as well as fucked up advice! whats the point of rising up the RIU status ranks by being an arse...what does that teach our children, our newbies, our global audience? We should start the RIU 'comments & likes' investigative police squad! i'll be happy to lead this in the spirit of Edgar Hoover lol...will of course require a new & unique title to properly reflect this role along with a million likes!
