PO boxs how do they protect you, ordering seed

Just wondering how using a PO box for address when ordering seeds, how does it protect you? I mean the post office has records of the person that purchased it don't they? Does any body know more about it or uded one before?
Any help would be great!

It's safe to have them delivered to your house, in my opinion. The worst that will happen is that you'll get a letter from customs saying your package was confiscated, but no action will be taken against you. The same thing can happen with a PO box, by the way, though some seedbanks might not even ship to PO boxes.

Yeah I think a PO Box is a false sense of security. Like you said, they have records. I guess outta sight, outta mind - if theyre not putting the seeds in your actual mailbox, maybe youll feel better about it haha

Dude, how are you going to grow plants that take 4-5 months to grow if you sketch out on a po box. Getting the seeds is the least of your problem.

That happens when 20 DEA raid your house cus you have a orange light leaking out of one of your windows?

DEA? I hate to say but DEA won't come at him esp 20 of them. They don't have time for him.
orange light if u use reg incandescent bulbs and have curtains you will have a orange like light coming from your house.
Just because of a light leak DEA won't come. Now if it's covered and it comes out a lil.
neighbors might call police n they can get a warrant.
DEA got way bigger fish to fry.

Yeah , seeds arnt anything. Its more worries thinking 'can my neighbors smell that?' or 'can they hear my fans?' like some paranoid tweaker. Who cares really. Have the seeds sent to your house with your name on it so the post office doesn't think it is shady, having someone elses name on maill going to your house., Relax

Thanks Guys for your help! I am already on my 2nd grow and have the light leaks sealed, no leaks! I have a carbon filter, so no smell. I'm growing bag seed but would like to have some good genetics. I don't live in cali, so I don't have accsess to the med pot they can get there.
So the paranoia comes from what I can't control. So thanks for the info!

i feel u but u did all u can to prevent u from suspicion. So u just gotta do u n grow.

If seeds were ever sent to your pad and the post office did find they were seeds, NOTHING would happen to you. If they somehow found them they would take them and keep them and put green tape all over your envelope and send it too you with a letter saying that someone was trying to send you contraband. It is not your fault. For all they know someone doesn't like you and was trying to get you in trouble.

Someone could send you a kilo of coke, smelling all bad and a bust and all. Is that your fault?
