plz give me your input!

alright so i just ordered some early misty from nirvana seed bank. and i need some quick answers to get me started.

What kind of soil should i buy?

How should i go about planting the seeds? just throw em in the ground? i think theres more to it than that probably.

how often will the plants need to be watered? will getting rain 1-2 times a week be enough?

Ya have to read about it in the facts. We cannot tell ya every little detail.

alright, how about just one question then, how often should the plants get water?

Same as you, when they are thirsty. Water when the leaves begin to droop a little.

Scotts Topsoil is great, it's made of forest compost, and peat moss. Good for any vegetable actually.

i am still learning how to grow to but for watering everyone has told me to water the soil really well befoe u plant the seeds, then when ever the soil dry and start out only water each plant 1 1/2 - 2 cups then as the plants begin to grow bigger give them more water but on the same sheduale. and fro the seeds, first u most germinate them, then place the white tail part facing down in the soil about a 1/2 inch and cover the seed with a thin layer of soil.
but like i said, i am know expert.

Alright, let me go into more detail. Seedling need alot of moisture but not necessarily a lot of water. A good rule of thumb is to keep them in as small container as possible with out constricting the roots. So before we can begin to give advice, we need to know more information about your set up and plans.
1: Have you sprouted your seeds? 1a: if so or not yet, what method?
2: What medium are you growing? I guess you plan soil. Someone recommended Scott's, I have actually had very good luch with Miracle Grow's Organic soil with an addition of 1 bag perlite per two bags of the organic soil.
3: Now that soil is established, and this is in an outdoor forum, are you growing in pots or in the ground? 3b: if pots, back to the size i recommended before. Start small and work your way up. If you feel you can resist the urge to water and can be patient, planting seedlings into their final, large pot is fine as long as you keep the surface damp without flooding the roots. That is what I do. I have personally had no problem of planting seedlings in large containers.
4: What are the temps where you are? Night, day? Can you start them in doors?
5: I am sure there are many more, but if you answer these, hang around and read a lot, read WAY more than you post, you should be cool for a while.

i havent recieved my seeds in the mail yet, so i picked out about 6 from a 1/2 oz i had.
right now they are in a moist paper towel in a air tight cup, in a dark room in my basement.

im going to be growing in soil and i wont be using pots (its gonna be out in the woods)

i live in south eastern Michigan so right now the temps are getting up to 60-70, but in about a month they will be 80-90. at night it still gets chilly, but i dont start to plant them until the end of april/early may. i checked on when there are the most hours of sunlight and thats when it starts to get above 14.

Well you are on the right track. Since you are going to keep them until May, than once they sprout you need to put them in small pots. Since you are planting in the ground, you should get some Coco pots to start them, then once it is time, bury the whole pot int the ground, as the roots will grow through the Coco.
