Plucking leaves a week in to feminize?

I have a small sprout, about 5 days old, an experienced person I know told me to wait until there is 4 leaves, (not including the starting "round" leaves, the 2 leaves that are there from germination.) but the jagged actual pot leaves. He told me when the plant is about a week old, to pluck the top 2 leaves softy so it slides out like a tassel and not breaks. This will cause it to branch into 2 stems and become 100% female. Is this true?
please help me, thank you.

okay, but just to be sure, have you or anyone you know tried this before? Because this dude has done it for the past 20 years. I am no longer able to be in touch with him, thats why I cant ask him myself

Plucking leaves isnt going to change sex. If this worked would people pay good money for feminised seeds?

I'm sorry, but what is GA & CS? I don't know that Iv ever herd of that? Answer to Question at hand though is a No. Pruning will not in any case change the sex of a plant. I have herd that's cooler temps during veg helps with higher female rates. Thanks and good luck!

I've never tried this but it doesn't sound right...
I would give her ideal conditions 75-85 degrees and 80% relative humidity and 18/6 then watch her go!
Pulling the leaves will result in stress most likely result in it stressing into being male.

Your friend is wrong. You can't pull the male out of a plant and make it female.

I think what your friend was talking about was FIM (stands for Fuck I Missed) which is what you described in your post. So he is FIM'ing not Fem'ing..... BUT I LOL'ed

If you time it carefully, switch to 12/12 about a week or so before you apply this ancient feminizing technique, .... No, of course not.

Maybe he just used clones from friends for 20 years...

80% relative humidity NOT unless you want mold keep it around 35 % 45% max best way to have the most female sucess is to not sstress out the plants PLANT StRESS is the number one reason for males also keep your PH regulated 6,5 7,0 for soil and watch the ladies go !

no true. most of the time sex is determined by Genetics (Even a Fem'd Seed Can produce males). Even With Hard Core Stressing a plant can come out to be a female and not herm ect. Btw , Since Your Replying to a new grower its not best to use acronyms, Doesnt make u look smarter, just confuses people.

Not true.
A properly made feminized seed produces a female 99.99999999% if the time.

A female plant can not be a real hermaphrodite, only a monoecious hermaphrodite, which is not the same.
