Day 39 Update

I had to water the ladies sooner than expected for two reasons. One was they were bone dry, as they have gotten further into flowering they are going through water alot sooner. Reason number two has to do with the soil being frosted white (I included a photo to show), can some one help is there reason why this keeps happening? Should I be concerned? I watered them both with one gallon of water with 2 ml of bud candy just to give them a tiny bit of sugars. I hope this will flush out that salt and prevent any build up.

I also noticed this morning that they are starting to smell :) in a good way of course. Im starting to wonder how efficient my carbon filter is, so I bought a plug in air wick to throw off the smell.

I called the hydro store where I bought the AN supplements and they told me two things:

A. to remove the top soil if possible and replace with fresh soil (similar to your thought Foolet)
B. not to worry about build up with AN, because it has special formula with gelatin that releases if the PH reaches a certain level...

Any ideas??

WEEK 6 - DAY 45 UPDATE

I was having some problems with brown spotting, I traced it back to a PH problem. It seems when i was putting my nutes in, it was dropping the PH to 5.0 thus locking out cal, mag and other things. I bought a General Hydro PH Kit and raised the nute PH to 6.5, and took the top 1.5 inches of soil that was covered in salt threw it away and gave the girls fresh new soil.

I feed them three days ago the PH'd water and they seem to be doing better no new brown spotting. I did notice some leaves that were spotty drying up so I cut them - just a few tho :). Well here the the photos...

DAY 51 UPDATE - Week 7

I decided to raise the PH of the water to 7.0 to see if that helped with the nutrient uptake....we will see how they do. I noticed that the Tahoe OG has really started to brown on me, not the trichomes but the hairs. Overall I am not to happy with the overall appearance of the plant due to the leaf stress...but the flowers seem unaffected, infact they have put on the most weight since it began.

I'm hoping for a atleast a half O from each haha...but we will see! Based on the strain recommendations it was supposed to be:

Sour Bubble: 60 Days...but it seems like I am going to flowering for about 75-80 days :(

Tahoe OG: 70 Days...but it looks about 1 week ahead of schedule

You only expect half an O from each? Damn... I'll probably harvest like 8g's each then... Checkout my thread.

hahah i have lofty expectations, but from my other grows that I have done I think I am going to be pretty close to that to be honest. I have been following your thread and I would guess at-least 10-12gs per plant if not more but they are autos and I have no experience with autos so its only a guesstimate...lets hope we both over harvest! lol

Raising the PH made a huge difference...I noticed that they don't even mind 7.0. I guess anything is better than the old 5 ph
