you think its 150 or youve tested it with an IR gun??? big difference there.

also, theres a big difference in the griddle temp, and your oils temp.
SO many times this.

When you're using an electric griddle, you need to understand that it doesn't provide a constant temperature. It uses the coil underneath to heat the griddle itself, so you get points of high heat, and points os fluctuating heat as the energy moves into them. The griddle then slowly cools before it then pumps heat back into the coil to heat up the griddle.

Basically, never temp the griddle, always focus on the oil's temp (as everyone here has said).
