Please help with ballast asap!

I really need to get my fem blueberry under my 400w HPS but the stupid ballast wont start up the light!
It just clicks but wont start :/ It has done this maybe once or twice before but I've always got the light going, I don't know whether to open it up or just hope for the best but I really need my plant under the hps NOW! D:

How old is the bulb and ballast? Is the light flickering even?

Be careful that you leave the ballast unplugged for a long time before you open it up, it has a capacitor that can give a bad shock if charged.

The bulb is about a year old but its only been used several times, the light wont even flicker. 0.0

Well like theyd say in Russia "ballast is fucked, it no good anymore".

Last time it happened to me I brought it back to the shop, said I'd only had it a year and they gave me a replacement.

Is it digital or magnetic? They should all run over 5 years, some digitals are rated for 10.

If thats true then I have two issues... I brought it from ebay and i havent had it for more than 2 years :/

I didn't even open the thing and the plug touched my hand and gave me the biggest fucking zap!

my friend had a 400w digital ballast and the thing would mess up all the time..either it wouldnt turn off when the timer clicked,or it wouldnt turn ON when it was plugged in..or when the timer is set to on..

solution...replaced the bulb and worked fine..so either replace the bulb or make sure u put it in right.

Try contact the ebay seller about warranty and try get it replaced asap. If not get you money back and invest in a digital ballast.
