please help what happens if you flower to long????

Look at your trichs to tell you if they are ready. I imagine the plant will keep putting out new pistils until it actually wilts and dies. Thats why they say the pistils should be about 90% orange. Have the calyx's swollen yet and the pistils receded back into the calyx?

When you flower too long you can grow male parts and thc will degrade into cbn making your high disorienting and sleepy. I like a little cbn for night time but its far less psychoactive. If your growing a sativa strain they might not show all pistils browned and receded like an indica would. Also trichs may not amber like a indica would and they may also go through waves of ripeness. Where one week it looks almost ready and the next it hit a spurt looks a week or two off. Throw up a pic. Knowing what strain this is would help get a better answer too.

thanks i just finished cutting it all down and starting reveg my camera is broken so i can't throw up anything but whatever just a little disappointed here on my part you know? nothing i can do now but dry it all cure it and see if i get blasted. I wonder what happens when you dry light green pistils? any idea if it will still work?

Not a male but maybe hermi. How mature is the seed? Does it have black and brown markings on it or is it white/green? If its tiny and green may just be because the plant was past fully ripe. If its black and brown then if was pollinated a while ago and if you didn't have any contact with male plants early in flower then it got stressed and hermied on you. The plant will most likely grow exactly the same as it just did for you. It might grow male parts too and create seeds just like this if your grow is the same.

The seed was mature black and brown swirls. I only found 1 seed it hermiied cuz of stress because i only had 2 plants and they were both female. That is why i must reveg i have no seeds and I am worried now because if i waste electricity for about a month just to see that it is a hermi it is a waste what do think? is it worth giving it a shot? thanks in advance my friend

The problem is that i waited to long to cut the plant down. This was my first time growing i got some pretty big nugs given the space and lighting I am over all happy. I just hope if i reveg it will be a female and i won't make that same mistake again. Hopefully i will learn from this basically if this plant doesn't reveg properly i will be shit outta luck. Thanks to all that have helped me in my time of need here on RIU has been a great experience and i hope to make new memories if the plant allows me to let me tell you guys I AM SCARED. That seed should be a viable selfed fem seed after it drys out a bit. You don't have to wait 2-3 months to plant like I've seen people say around the web. Just needs to dry out first. If its just one seed you shouldn't have the problem of it being all hermied up on a reveg. I'd still go through your buds a bit and see if there's anymore ripe seeds and also check for male parts and less ripe seeds. Anyways, if you don't have any cash for new seeds there's no harm in growing a hermied plant. Its better then nothing and with nothing flowering next to it for it to pollinate, its worth it.
