Please help verify this is a male

Black and white pic is all I can get right now. I want to make sure this is a male before I remove it. It started with the balls a couple days ago and the others look like females (starting to show little thread like shoots).

Should I wait a couple days to make sure or can anyone tell from this pic?? Thanks from a newbie!!

Yea, it's definitely male.

Just out of curiosity, how far into flowering and how fast was the growth?

Could have a nice sperm donor there.
Today is the first day of week 4 in flowering. I've had good luck with the grow so far except for a nitrogen toxicity in veg (veg was 5 weeks due to the toxicity) that they all recovered from and seem to be growing pretty well. The plants are short and bushy and only 18" tall. I just put them under a descent grow light though so growth has def picked up the last 7 days). I was thinking about trying to collect pollen from it and just moving it to another area. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

You could as long as you think it has good genetics. You better get it out of that tent soon though.

Even if you just throw him under a couple cfls in a closet, then pick the balls right before they bust. Throw them in a sandwich bag and then inside 2 more. Throw it in the freezer and paint it on when needed. You can cut it with flour to make it easier to pollinate them.

The other option is to put it in a paper bag and tape it around the branch you want to pollinate. Give the bag a shake every now and then. Take it off after 3-4 days. This option is better if you're running stronger fans, as to not pollinate the rest.

Dunno if you've ever bred before, but that's how I do it.

This is my first grow and I'm interested just to learn right now including breeding. Whatever I get out of this grow will be a plus (I've learned a great deal). I think I'll move it today completely by itself and try harvesting some pollen. Your info is much appreciated!

I was thinking of crossing a KC Brains KC39 male to a female Hash Bomb.
Thanks for that.

No problem. Just go easy taking it out in case a sac busts. Good luck and happy growing.

Sounds like a nice cross. Once you get the breeding process of males to females down, you can get some colloidal silver and cross females for feminized seeds.

Always something new in the world of weed. Sometimes I enjoy growing it more than smoking it. There's always a new tactic or method. Never gets old.

The KC39 is really difficult to get info/smokers or grow reports, the only thing I am certain of its a North Indian, crossed with his own KC606, which is even HARDER to get anything on, but it rumoured to be his own skunk Thai, which sounds like a NL#5 variation.
Nice doing the garden and the research, very absorbing....!

What do you do with the colloidal silver?

When the calyxes start to form, you spray them with the silver. Those pistils will turn to pollen sacs. You can cross it back with itself or breed with another female. Takes a week or so of spraying but they'll change.

I wouldn't advise smoking any of the bud you get the silver on, but you can smoke the rest.

Just remember when you're breeding, take all the buds that aren't pollinated and leave the pollinated ones to grow out and finish seed production.
