:-( hi, a buddy brought me plants in 6in pails of miricale grow. we took them out of pails and put them right into my pea gravel set up. they are not doing so well. they are alive still after a week but looking unwatered. i have had huge success in my setup for years but i always used 1in rockwool then into peagravel/clay pellet mix. never used dirt.i have been treating them as if they are in rockwool. i have been researching and i have found that going from soil to hydro is not easy. what im asking for is any tips or advice on a feeding/water cycle for the situation i'm in. should i pull them out and wash off all the dirt? should i just cut them up into clones in rockwool? water/flood just up to the bottom of the dirt and not wet the dirt? any advice?

Cut down the lighting just a bit they are light stressed no need to blast them to death. Yes the plants are in rough shape and normally I would say to pull them out and get the dirt out but you are stuck with what you have you will kill them otherwise. Figure out how wet they are my guess is that you have been over watering just for the fact that the dirt is soaking wet and roots have not wandered out of the area yet. Dry them out and dig around the root ball to check the soil. Next we need to talk about foliar spray. Do you have a grow and a bloom nute? Let me know that and we will go from there.

Yes 400 is perfect. And the big grow is Fox farm? If so we need to get high levels of P& K into them so if you have a bloom as well lets make up a spray that has a more balanced NPK to it. Ideas on how you want to do that? The purple is from just the shock and the plant pretty much stop feeding because of it.

thx, yes fox farm. there is new growth comming out of stem and base of stem. i have been spraying them down with follier strenth nuts then with striaght water every 4hrs and they seem to be starting to stand up. i think i will treat them as a soil grow until roots appear out the bottom of dirt, then i will start flooding again but only up to the bottom of dirt
