This is my first attempt. They are about two and a half weeks old. They are under 4 26watt cfl's @ 6500k, and just added 2 40watt cfl's @ 2700k. I just started with FF grow big, half strength last week. They are in 6qrt tubs with airstone on all the time. Lighting is also on 24/7.

there wilty, maybe nutes came a bit too early, i usually hold off untill i see a deficiency. is that some kind of hydro grow? i usually suggest new growers pratice in soil with compost and organics because its harder to mess up

they may also be over watered, im no hydro grower myself but, id wager those resivors have alot of water in them

looks like nute burn and where its turning colors and etc cut that off because you might be spreading a disease to and through out your whole grow and flush your plants with ph leveled water bro asap

It is like a DWC. The plants them selves are in a 1.5 inch piece of Grodan. And that is in a 3inch net pot. the roots are hanging out of the bottom of the pots. I try to keep the water level just below the pot. Right now I am flushing them. Do you suggest using the nutes at maybe quarter strength? I am going to use the combination of FF nutes Grow Big Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom as per the schedule they have. And try to keep the water level just below the pots. Before I flushed them I could see alot of white buildup on the hydroton, could it be sulfur buildup? I use distilled water, ph'd to right about 6.

All i have is one of those cheap ph test kits. Every time I try to get it lower than the light yellow color it goes to red, which is like four something. Guess I will be buying a different tester. Thanks will try this tonight.

i would use just water untill they bounce back or start curling or turning yellow. and then start with 1/4 strength. i am really cautious when ever using chemical nutes on my plants, would rather use organic fertilizer any day, and only use chemical nutes as needed

i dont know man FF isnt available to me unless over the internet.

if you want to know my secret i have stolen most of my supplies from my neighbors green house, they have this compost that could be older than me. they have guano and nutes and different kinds of soil, everything i need.

I don't see any mention of air stones in the water.

I think you have a heat-air circulation problem, and maybe a water temp problem.

What is the temp of the grow area and the water temp?

Do you have ample air stones in the water?

They may of also been over fed.

Sorry for the delay in response, crazy stuff around here...

I believe it was a combination of a few things; not enough air(bubbles), temp of water/cab, starting nutes too soon, and PH issue. Well I know the next time will be different :)
