please help newbie at 10 week veg want to start flowering

i am on my first grom i have topped my girl real early and she looks real healthy. she is a biggen at that real short and bushy! however i want to induce flowering at this point. should i go 12/12 and just respond to her needs or should i throw her in the dark for 3 straight days then 12/12 also any preventitive measures? also i
all i had was miracle grow auto feed for 6 months juck i know. but the wierd thing is she looks amazing i hate to say it but almost better then some friends that w
have years under their belt and hundreds if not a few thoulsand into their set up. i am useing 3 23 watt 6500k cfls! It was kinda an experiment but i have been amazed at the results and quality this low low low end shit set up produced. i also take them outside on sunnydays to catch some sun rays. the nodes are so close they are almost crowed to much i have to bend her to allow light to get to her whole self. sorry kinda rambling. but if you were at this stage what would you be doing? what tips do you have? Remember i said i am a BEGINNER please dont leave comments on how stupid i am. we all start somewhere and it is a learning process i have a hard time with other places i have looked for help and in turn just get a bunch of insults.. thats not what our community is about if we dont have each other helping eachother then who do we have? thanks all who help and take it seriosly! be safe and happy growings....

I got to the point where you said dark for three straight days and cringed. No need for this. Just put them straight to flower. Kind of hard to tell where your at with no pics but sounds like its going good. Of course you will hear you need to get an hps and IMO yes you do when you get the cash and time for it. More is less with this plant. Just let is go and tend to its needs. A good NPk for flower that you want is a 1-3-2 but keep em green. Next round look into toping to get 4 main colas. Its a sticky by UB in advanced. This is my favorite method. Hope it helps. Good luck.

just a question where you hear that 3 days dark is a good ideal before flower ? don't do it just flip them or increase your dark period till you get to 12/12. no light no food for the plant= starvation.

At 10 weeks vegging you probably are already flowering. Unless you continuously take cuttings or clones from a plant, she will automatically start to flower after 8-10 weeks vegging. Turning the lights to 12/12 is a signal for the plants to start flowering if they haven't already started. Mother Nature will pressure all plants to reproduce. They can't reproduce without flowering. Note: If you have one plant starting to flower in your veg room, that will signal the other ladies to flower also. Bottom line -- once one starts to flower the rest tend to follow. Good luck. What are you talking about? Only autos would just start flowering without changing the light cycle. Unless your talking about outdoor in which plants can still veg longer then 10 weeks without "automatically" going into flower ( and he is not outdoor) . How do you think we keep mothers for years ? No idea what your talking about here. Sounds like crap. Explain better.

anyway i would suggest getting 1 or 2 more lights
for flower.
75 watts can veg just fine to an extent but once
you switch to flower your going to need more
if its not in your budget try to at least get 125watts
which you should be able to harvest at least an ounce
as long as your plant isn't to big which in this case
its sounds like it might be idk but i would suggest
trimming lower branches and bud sights before flowering
then bending or tying back fan leaves so bud sights
are exposed to more light and get the bulbs as close
as possible with out touching turning the plant as it flowers
so you get consistent buds since cfls cant penetrate
through the canopy as well as hps hope that helps.

What's a sticky by in in advanced mean I did top to four main! By accident pulled off light burned top ill try to post she is a nice size heffa lol thanks for all your help what if I start to flower and move comtiner out for most of the 12 hour or all would this work?

Poster is referring to a thread by a guy called Uncle Ben called Topping for Four Main Colas -- at least I think that's what it's called. You can search for it in the search box, but that poster is suggesting it's in the Advanced Cultivation Techniques room. A sticky is a thread marked by the moderators so that it stays at the beginning of the chat room, no matter how old it gets.

Just flip to 12/12 -- no muss, no fuss. It takes a few days for the plant to adjust, and then the stretch will begin! Expect your plant to double in size now...
