Please help me identify this strain...... Hi Res pics inside

Can anyone help me identify this and possibly provide some feedback?

Here's what I know. The seeds came from a bag I had early this spring. Supposedly grown outdoors in Jamaica. It was the pressed stuff you get pretty cheap. Dark green. LOADS of seed. Not high quality sensi.

The pictures below are at 12 weeks into flower. Yes TWELVE WEEKS.

Because of space restraints, I harvested and smoked one of the plants. It was mostly all white pistils. Even at that stage the smoke was not bad. In fact it was better than my big fluffy buds from another unknown "indica" strain.

I still have 2 plants going. Now at 16 weeks into flower. Other than being a bit bigger/fuller, the plant still looks the same. The buds are practically all white. No sign of trichs on the trim leaves. Very thin and droopy leaves. It always looks like its under or over watered. Left unchecked this plant will grow to 2 meters easily. It just keeps growing and the buds are taking AGES to mature.

I know its a sativa...but what strain? Is this a pure sativa? How long will it take to mature fully? I am growing indoors in soil with basic nutrient supplements.

Here are the pics

Any help or feedback is appreciated.

Realy dude no one can tell you what strain it is there is way to many hybrids for that now, even if someone had smoked the same strain yours will prolly taste differnt, its looks like heavy on the sativa side so prepare for a long wait

Hmmm. Its been 16 weeks since flowering started. How long do they normally take. Autumn is usually only 12 weeks, even in warmer climates I would have thought 16 weeks is the longest. These buds are nowhere near ready.

Do sativa buds look generally the same as indicas? I mean are they fat and covered in resin and trichs? I am no expert, but have a couple of grows done. These buds are still just loads of white pistils and show no signs of maturing, aside from the odd amber coloured pistil.

Where did you get the plant from?
I grew it from bag seed. The original bag was "brick weed". I dont know what you might call it, but it was the kind thats pressed into a brick, typically like what you see coming from mexico or similar places. It had so many seeds and decided to try growing it. As a matter of fact these plants are from my very first grow. I have since had two harvests from other strains, whilst these are still going at 16 weeks of flower.

At this rate it looks like it could be another 6-8 weeks easily. That would mean six months of flowering...Is that possible?

it looks like sativa and its obvious you got some shitty ass regs... anything thats brown with tons of seeds is terrible weed so thats what your growing ... terrible weed... what kinda of conditions do you have it growing in ? how much light? what kind of light are you using? i seriously doubt its a pure sativa because pure indica/sativa strains are more generally hard to come buy and its next to impossible to tell which strain bud is because there is so many different strains, but 16 weeks you should be done... it looks to me that you have very minimal growing conditions for the plant to survive and you have terrible seeds so it doesn't create a great situation best bet would be just let it go see what happends good seeds = good plants bad seeds = bad plants idk man but good luck with whatever that is

Pretty much. Those pics are 12 weeks. At 16 they are basically the same. They just have more bud sites and there are alot more pistils. The pistils arent really getting thicker, and they arent changing colour much either. Just a hell of alot more of them LOL

These were vegged under SunBlaster Flouros, and flowering in 800w HPS.

Its weird though. The high is so much better than the big sticky fluffy buds from my indica plants grown along side them. The indicas looked delicious, but werent potent at all. Good for the munchies and nothing else. Whereas this plant that wont finish is much lighter and "buzzy". I would love to see what its would be like when fully finished, but after so much time, it doesnt look like it will ever finish. The original dirt weed was a good smoke surprisingly, which is why I decided to try and grow the seeds. I am quite sure this came from Jamaica, as the source is highly trusted, and it was unlike anyting i had seen before. Very green pressed solid block. Reminded me of the dirt weed I used to get when I was in college.

Anyway, I just wondered if this was identifiable, and if was common for sativas to flower this long.

i believe a good dank can be grown from seeds from bad weed. tho the nurture was not there for the mother/father...a little bit of nurture with offspring can unlock her/his genetic potential. the same goes with good seeds can make bad weed...if the care is not there, the quality wont be. yes, some plants require more nurture others not as much.

when did you start counting weeks? what did the plant look like?

I started counting weeks when I moved to 12/12. At the time I grew 5 plants, and only one turned out to be female. I then cloned it, and had about 16 rooted clones.
When they went into flower they were very dense, bushy and full. Once flowering started, they shot straight up from around 20 inches to nearly three feet. I had to top them as they were out of control. They just keep growing. Unlike my indicas that had buds up the main stalk, these plants have buds at every single node, and they just keep growing. The plants arent growing taller anymore, now its just white hairy bud sites everywhere.

Also I meant to say that there are lots of branches, and each node on each branch has the same type of buds. The plant is covered in buds. And each one starts small and just gets more pistils.

dont have much info on auto flowering strains...maybe you are dealing with one of these? has the plant actually had hairs for 12 weeks? when these hairs start bunchin up, this is around week one.

I dont think it an autoflower. I had the mother in veg for quite awhile taking cuttings. I ended up throwing away a dozen or so rooted clones after I saw how the plant was growing in flower cycle. It was really tall and branchy. I had to top it just to keep it from getting burnt by the light, which was raised as high as it could go. The plants had white pistils by the 8th day of flowering. So for about 16 weeks just alot of new growth and very little if any maturing of buds.

Because it had so many bud sites, I saved some pollen from a male. Thinking maybe I might try crossing it with another strain. The intent being to get a plant that has just as many buds without the 6 month flower cycle lol

Gradually lower your lights on time to 9/15 by 30 or 15 minute increments. This may screw up your whole grow, but it should help them finish.

And just because it is brown with tons of seeds doesn't make it terrible. Not giving it TLC did that. However it looks great now that your growing it right, and I wouldn't harvest till ready cause they say if it is true sativa its a super great high. I had a plant like that but got inpatient and cuts at 12 weeks. Luckily it threw me a few seeds in the very end because it was great for early harvest. Good luck
