put a glass of water in your chamber to make sure you can make it 'boil' at room temp. Good indicator if you are pulling a full vac or not. If you get to the point where you just have bubbles, and they won't pop, raise the temp a tad to make your oil more viscous, and they will all pop. I will often close the valve and turn off the pump. When I come back, there are lots of bubbles everywhere. I simply turn the heat up a little and turn the pump back on. It will pop all the bubbles and start to 'boil' again. If you are getting bubbles, but cannot get it to 'boil' just raise the heat because heat and pressure are directly related. Also, buy a laser thermometer on ebay, they are like $13.

to get rid of the bubbles when you are done (purging in a vacuum under heat)... put the finished patty on the heat surface (griddle in my case, or in the chamber, not under pressure) and let the oil get to no more than 125. The bubbles will smooth out and it will be a smooth surface. Give it about 10 min or so. I just got done doing the same...

Boiling

After it's done, mine looks similar to yours, although I think yours needs to be purged more by raising the heat, you need a laser to measure precisely...I put mine on the griddle surface and use the laser to keep it at 125, take it off as necessary. All the waves and pits will fill into a nice smooth surface

At this point, it's 'curing' and is stuck to the parchment. When done, at least 30 min after removing from heat.. (I leave mine overnight) take it to a hard edge, like a table, let the patty sit flat and take it to the edge of the table and pull the parchment down, and rotate it until the entire patty comes loose. the patty will kind of float until it's no longer stuck to the parchment.

comes off in one nice patty: 4.6g finsihed

i cant get those bubbles to burst. its like it never hits full vac. the first run i did, everything worked great and the concentrate was super clean and potent. Now i just cant get the final muffin to burst.. only thing i can think of there must me a compromise with the housing or chamber... im going call bestvaluevacs tomorrow...IMAG0104.jpg

That should help. There is a post here somewhere listing max vacuum pressure at different altitudes. Stick with it man. Remember Rome wasnt built in a day!

ok yea the final product as less bubbles and doesnt have a bite anymore. I just vac muffin devac repeat like 8 times. not much popping but definitely purged it more. I dont understand though my friend who is an actually an extract artist says anything less than an ounce can be basically fully purged in 2 hours vac time without taking it out and flipping it every 20 min. Ive seen him do this many times and make many different slabs of different material qualities and always finish around 2 plus hours for total concentrate 28g or less, and its very very good and clean. Its tough ive seen him do it so many times but try to replicate it is still very difficult haha. So what do you guys think about being able to finish in 2 hours vac purge for under an ounce and what about flipping the slab during vac purge process? "Hes explanation was would cook a pancake on one side"
