I think it's funny how when I first got into ISO it was all i wanted to smoke, then I made bubble and was obsessed and that was all i wanted, then found out dry ice hash was easier and i loved that for a while, ultimately got to BHO and obviously became my favorite...but I always find myself going back to flowers, nothin better than a J of good weed, key being GOOD weed, I dunno maybe it's just me but nature perfected ganja way b4 us

As promised, pics of the new nail And I must say I am impressed. The price maybe high but I LOVE this nail. Dabs are smooth and its nice to save the step of having a dome, also all their nails have some sort of diffuser/recycler built in. Put that thru a water device and damn Sexy alloy is right Guzias

Two days ago i blasted three cans into about 32 grams of low to midgrade chronic i got a little over three grams of bho is this low or normal shuld i pack the tube tighter?

Seems low... did you grind up or lightly chop? I was actually packing my tubes to tight when I was getting low yields a couple times.

I broke it up with my fingers filled a quarter of the tube up lightly packed it down untill it was full.

Well then ya can grind up the bud and rerun it... use better material or grind up if ya want higher yield. Sounds like us did it for quality and that's why ya got less

Envision being a butane molecule looking for the easiest way through a packed column, and how a loose pack would look like a winding obstacle course, and a packed column would look like a filter.

We get the best yield reducing 15% moisture content material to 10 mesh and packing to a density of 4.2 grams per cubic inch. Any dead space is packed with coffee filters.

We break up lightly by hand for bragging rights extracts, to minimize the number of ruptured leaf cell walls exposed to the solvent, but still pack it firmly. Packing regularly during the process of filling the tube, as opposed to filling and then trying to pack it down evenly.

I push hard until movement ceases, but don't push any harder than that, or hammer, and use a dowel close to the diameter of tube, which shouldn't be larger than about one inch ID, for best efficiency.

The way to tell how well you are doing, is by microscopic examination of the spent material, to look for intact resin heads. The stalks will remain behind, but the bulbous heads should all/mostly be gone.

If not, repack and rerun.

No, because we get most of it with butane, and whats left isn't likely to be tasty in a butter extract.

Ok well the xj started waxing a teeny bit in the center so pulled it out and letting it sit. Definitely stabilized overnight some... the chocolope oil came out neon orange... mmmm mmm can't wait to try! Pics of the xj tonight.

Ya I'm finding some strains want to be pulled out earlier and finished at room temp for 1 - 2 days. Well at least with a big old 2 oz party... smaller might take less.
