I have heard of plasma lighting and that its superior in everyway. Are they worth the investment? Where is a good place to start?

The king of plasma Gavita recommends plasma only as supplemental lighting in combination with 1kw hps , that should tell you something.
Sulfur plasma in the future will be good but right now I don't know who told you plasma is superior but I doubt that.

Sure they have emitters now with more red but the red doesn't last and you're replacing emitters just like you would replace an hps lamp. Gavita emitters aren't user replaceable.

You want the best in lighting then go with a DE setup if your op is big or if you have a small grow get an sun systems lec. I can assure you the lec won't disappoint and the DE is actually higher on the ppf.

Are they worth the investment? No, but give it some time, the tech is still fairly new in-regards to horticulture application, and the prices are insanely expensive~

They must run the 41.02 emitter. If those are anything like the Rocket red emitters the red doesnt last long and gavita emitters arent user replaceable last I knew.

If you insist.
I don't insist, the evidence is there and they are saying that the Gavita's are the best form of lighting. I didn't say I agree with that I have no clue, you would rather not look up the evidence and keep trolling along. Keep douchin it up homie and spreadin lies it'll make your garden better. You are like a teenager who knows everything and can't accept the facts.

Take a fucking pill man, You offend pretty easy . "The evidence" ? Which evidence is that? a few pictures of some bud?
And where is the part of me talking any shit on gavita. I clearly talked shit on a technology.
1 micromole per watt{LEP PPF) does not a super grow light make .......homie.
Watch the accusation and name calling. Now fuck off.

@King Arthur plasma is way overpriced and the spectrum is off, you have to supplement with red, some of the best plasma makers put a bunch of red LED's on their light because the spectrum lacks for bloom. http://chameleongrowsystems.com/500w_Plasma_Grow_Light_with_Red-LED_Spectrum_Enhancers.html 500w plasma with 4 Red kessil's attached, that should say enough.
The only plasma I am talking about are the Gavita's which Ethos Collective uses, it is pretty easy to hit their facebook page and one of the first posts they have it says "Charlatans web, grown with Gavita" , then you scroll down and they got rooms with both, then you scroll down further and they got rooms with JUST gavitas. They are obviously working for someone. Do I advocate buying one, not at all. But when it comes to saying if something CAN do something, it can do the job and the proof is in the pudding.
