Plants Alongside Cannabis

Hey guys, I just got a new tent and lights for seedlings, moms, and clones pretty much all the basic stuff.

But anyways my question is, what other plants can I grow in there without harming all my other plants? Looking for things I can cook with mainly..

Read someones post about this and this is what he said :
"Almost anything you want to try is worth a shot, I do catnip, basil, sunflowers (seeds for my birds), nasturtium, thyme, rosemary, mint... man, what else. I've had a lot of side projects in my own room, just make sure everything about the environment is geared for your number one priority (ie don't switch up your temps or change your light just for the sake of your parsley )and the rest, at least that I've listed, seem to take to it pretty well no matter what's going on "..

anyone have anything to add about things listed being not a good idea?
or any feedback or experience is appreciated :]

if their not in the same soil they will be fine.but if you put them in the same soil or like a hydro grow as in DWC or aero or something they would share water or ground with they would compete over nutes and also you would add the taste or effect to your pot plants.Like if you grew habenero plants in a dwc with your weed it would create hot pot plants(basically smoking pepper spray) lol.if their self contained then feel free bro an grow away!

I grow tomato and lettuce right alongside my plants

i grow a number of plants along side my outdoor crop. other plants can be a great addition to your garden, as well as helping to keep out pests i always plant queen annes lace and dill in my garden to encourage lady bugs and other beneficial insects to help keep away aphids and leaf hoppers etc.. look it up and see which beneficial plants are growing in your area. there are tons of them - and they look nice too

I grew my habeneros next to my tomatos last year and noone could eat them they were so hot! they will make soil around them hot.if you dont think so then try it.

i thought I was the only fool doin this.
Bell peppers are almost as much as pot these days lol

No doubt that is total BS.

And OP you can grow anything you would like alongside your MJ. Just be careful if you buy bedding plants to add to your garden be sure to put them in quarantine for a few weeks before putting them into your tent. Wanna be sure you not introducing pest/pathogens into your tent.
Things like garlic, lemon balm and oregano can actually help repell some insects. Garlic growing your garden and you probaly will never see a whitefly for example.

Do herbs..its what I do in my greenhouse..it also keeps bugs away ....basil..rosemary..thyme....lavender...lemongrass.and lemon balm...you can also make a organic bug spray with these along with using garlic...I have marigolds also..another bug deterrant plant....

if you want edibles do spinach if you like it..fast and easy...

Nice, i'm going to go with the last two opinions it'll be more reasonable in the space I have.

And I wont feel like such a huge pot head just growing weed.

im attempting to grow bell peppers from seeds that i bought at a local nursery. they seem to have the same needs temperature wise, and since i drain to waste and pot in separate containers i think im going to have some very happy bell pepper plants!

in fact.. here's what i got going so far.
they are under t12 6500k full spectrum 40 watt bulbs (2) normal shop light fixture.

they are on 24 hours of light right now which i know is not optimal for bell pepper plants but they seem to be growing well enough for the time being.

im sure when they go into my flower room they are going to take off like a bat outta hell!

Obviously this guy has never had a garden, or a basic botany class.

My outdoor garden has tomatos and peppers growing in the same soil using TGE same nutes and loving it. Bs for sure.

Garlic is great for pest repellent. I put clones out among my garlic plants for a spring crop and zero pest problems

Another grower showed me something even easier. He simply stuck a clove or 2 of garlic in the final, largest pot and let it grow with the mj.

I've been growing garlic for years, and that simple solution had never occurred to me. DOH!
