my plants are getting too big and some of the limbs im having to use fish wire to help hold up. and they about 5 feet tall or so with alot of branches. What would be a good way to help support them and for future reference what is a good way to help support the limbs when they get too heavy. Since I can't put a stick in them like dirt. what else beside scrog could i use for the next time??

search LST in this forum.

My hydro store sells netting thats used a few feet above plants, and as they grow you support them with netting.

I too have tied mine to keep them up.

i was looking at a scrog, do I just lay the chicken wire over the top and let the plant lift it??? or do i need to make somethign that hold it above it

ive thought about this a-lot, i was going to try to silacone some dows(if thats how you spell it) those thin round pieces of woods to my system and the top of my grow room when i START my next grow. a couple on each side of the pots, still trying to figure out how it will work with moving the light, i have a hid light and dont need to be that close. i havent tried it yet but im sure when its infront of me i can figure it out.

This time around I think you're stuck with what you have. Next time you can build circular cages around them. At Lowes they sell wire fencing with 2"x3" holes. Build a cage about 12-14" in dia. If you use tubs, these can sit right on top, secured with zip ties. On buckets you can drill holes around the outside to anchor the cages. Zip ties should also do the trick here. The height can be whatever you want, just make sure the cages are in place before putting the plants in. I forgot this once and it was a real pita to get em in. Prolly shoulda skipped that last bowl!

put netting or a metal frame so the branchs can go thru the holes and they will have more support. If you are still in veg just topp them or prune them and you should of had a oscilating fan when they first sprouted to of made the branchs stronger.

You*could*build*a*trellis*out*a*half*inch*PVC*piping*or*use a laundry*drying*rack*and*of*course*that fan would have helped. *Good luck.
