Hey guys, my plant is in its 3rd week of flower growing in a 3g airpot. I’m afraid its getting rootbound because its got roots coming up through the topsoil.

Is this normal using airpots or should i be worried? The plant isnt showing any signs of being rootbound other than that, so i’m not sure if its serious or not. Also, do you guys think the buds are developping properly for 3.5 weeks into flower? I’m only asking because I expected the buds to be a little bigger by now, although they just started trichome production a couple days ago. I don’t have any experience since this is my first attempt at growing.

Looking awesome. You got a bit of pressure on plant that lifted top roots or just water washed dirt a bit. A bit like a tree. No worries. Top a little compost or more soil to cover them. Buds great no worries.

Like previous poster said, don't worry about that. Normal.
Plants look a little stressed maybe but all in all great job for first grow.

Don't worry about bud size now. Swelling doesn't normally begin until around week 5-6.

Nice job.

Roots are probably coming up because the top soil is constantly moist. You can fill the rest of the pot up if you’d like. Everything looks good to me tho.

Oh i see, does it have to be compost or can i just add manure + Promix potting soil? Because i don’t have compost or worm castings at the moment. Also, if I keep the top roots exposed, do you think the plant might benefit from more access to oxygen?

I use compost to bitter end but make my own. Just plop some soil in to cover roots. Most plants even some autos need 8 to 9 weeks. Haze 12-13. So you have several more weeks. I dry my plants 3 days at this point. Then water very slowly in a circle so not much runs out to fully water!!. I then give compost tea & seaweed in water then dry again week 5 & feed again then dry again week 7 & 9 if haze#1. All the rest is water from week 5 of a 9 week plant & week 9 of a 13 week. I grow organically but still never feed for last month. Be sure when you dry pot to watch each plant is different. Never allow wilt but cannabis loves air & hates wet feet. When you do this little drought then feed buds respond . Cannabis really in my mind never root binds as plant just never grows big in teeny pot.
