Plant Nanny

I'm leaving in three weeks for vacation, I have bought something at the local garden store that should water it while I am gone for roughly a week. I am currently testing it to see how long the water supply will last. My initial test with a water bottle was a bit of a fail, it did not set correctly and the whole bottle emptied. After reading some info online I switched to a 1.5 pepsi bottle as the plastic is thick. Mix a small amount of the feed I have been using plus some bottled water and then marked the bottle. This is after 24 hours if you can see the two sharpie marks.

My main concern is the growth of the plant while I am out. I will not be able to tie it down every so often, and I am afraid to switch to 12/12 before I leave. Will she been fine vegging for another four to five weeks? If you want specific info on growth check the signature.

I would transplant her into a bigger container, move the light further away, and then leave her to veg.

I just did within the past week, I didn't think it would be able to fit anything bigger. I have a lot of room in length but not height.
You're probably going to have to flip to 12/12 then since you won't be home to train them they would veg too tall and you'd return to a space problem.

top or FIM her to control height. it should stunt her upward growth and force lower to bush out.

Not sure if it is visible in the picture, but it looked very off with the new growth coming in. The leaf set on the right seems deformed and a 1/3 of the size compared to the right.

This is my 1st time topping or FIMMing whatever I did, feel free to be critical.

You can set up a bottom feeding auto watering system. I have a plant that has to be left for a week and I just set one up. It's really easy. Cut a hole at the bottom of the bottle so the top of it is where you want the top of the water level. In the picture I have a milk jug but I've switched it to soda bottles as they handle the vaccuum of the water draining better and fit my space better.

I would leave the plant vegging and if it got to tall top it when you get back. Leaving a plant during the stretch sounds like a recipe for an uneven canopy.
