So, it basically rained on my plants... Well... actually my dad came outside to water other plants outdoors and friggin sprayed my plants in the "jet stream" mode, a very hard blast of water... and one of the plants toppled over... what the frick... I had to tie it upright after that...

However, now to the point:

The buds got wet, I tried to shake off as much water as possible. One plant is 8 weeks into flowering, but did not get too wet. The very wet and toppled-over plant is 5 1/2 weeks into flowering.

1) Will my potency be lowered because they were watered down?

2) Will the water have washed off alot of the trichs lying on the leaves and/or on the calyxes? Before the water, it was pretty dusty with white trichs. Will it still be dusty with white trichs when it dries?

I was so pissed -____- Am looking forward to some cheer-up information and good news :p

Thanks,

Lol, ya you're good, hopefully not too much damage to the stem when it went over but should be fine. My outdoor plants got rained on last few days. A hard rain, or what your plant experienced can remove a lot of the trichs but the good thing about them is they grow back, so no worries check it after being dry a few days you'll see what I mean. Bud rot is another concern but if you get the buds shaken out not too much to worry about. Rain is one thing to keep an eye on close to harvest, you don't want to harvest the day after a rainfall, I usually like to see a solid week of no rain before harvesting if not longer. Just rambling on now so high can't feel face.

whaaaat!? hahaha, I'm sorry dude, that sounded funny as hell.Water will not wash trychs off your plants at all! You can spray the hell outta them and they don't wash off. The only way they'll come off, is if it their beaten up and rubbed off, or if it's freezig cold water, then it'll loosen em' up.
Also, I look at buds under a microscope all the time under various conditions, and yes they continue to grow trychs, but if you damage the bud and the trychs somehow, they don't "grow back" so to speak, it's just still producing trychs. The ones that get lost, are lost.
Bottom line though he's right in the end about it's not gonna hurt anything. Your trychomes are still in place.

I've seen frosty buds that look completely bare the next day after a hard rain and are frosty again a week later, but, ok.
