Plant Died Overnight!

So, I've got some fantastic looking Purple Kush on the go. I'm just shy of 6 weeks and have noticed ants alllll over. When I checked on things before bed, things looked great. In the morning though, one plant was absolutely, 100% dead.

Any thoughts?

I'm using the General Organics line, so I'm thinkin they're eating the roots/soil contents?

They've ate stranger things....

I have a few suggestions, none are probably any good though.

1) set up some ant traps.

2) get an anteater

3) get a lot of magnifying glasses and fry the little bastards.

I wish I had a solution for you, I did my best.....

btw, I think you should get the anteater, I can see the most fun out of that option.

mix up sugar+water+boric acid and put it in a plate near your plants...they eat it and die...

if its the type of ants that go for oil instead of sugar, mix up vegitable oil + boric acid :D

You can purchase boric acid at any pharmacy :)

Phenotype gone bad? If all the conditions are the same for the most part...and one plant is doing shitty compared to the rest...its usually something with its genetics...I'd start a new thread and detail out everything in the grow and take quite a few pictures so we can see the entire story :)

I've heard people swear by Terro ant bait/killer... comes in several forms (granular for house permiter dispersal for instance, little liquid 'traps' you could litter around the room, etc)...
