Plant cell cloning in agar.

Does anyone have any experience in this? If you were successful please share your equipment and media setup!
I'm using basic agar with no nutrient additive. I want to see if I can get some apexes to root. I did try some macerated leaf material as well. The plan is to use a small cell sample to regrow the whole plant. Also to see if i can trap some of the auxins from the apex to stimulate root development from another culture.

Its common practice for biologists gathering samples of plants that are endangered. It has a very high success rate when done properly. I'll keep my progress posted up on this thread. I don't have all the right materials or the properly balanced medium, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to try. Hundreds of perfect clones can be taken from one plant LEAF. Plant cells are unique because they obtain the ability to regenerate the entire plant from one cell. Used properly this technique would open a new door to breeders and large scale growers.
