So in about two weeks my brother is getting married in Las Vegas. I am only 20 years old and can not drink or game, but I was curious if anyone had any ideas or suggestions as what entheogens to bring and which activities will follow. At least I'm staying in the hooters hotel:3

  • entheogens - I learned a new word today, thanx.

LV is a fun place. Take your best pair of walking shoes and just hit all the big resorts and casinos, lots to look at. Many casinos have lanes painted on the floor that you are supposed to stay within if you are <21. If you look kinda 21 you can sit down and grab a video poker machine and a nice lady will come around and ask what you want to drink. Order a free beer and tip her a couple dollars.

It's just a surreal place just keep walking and looking.

I'm sure a female of any age could get served in vegas at the "right" place.. and as far as entheogens, yes the word of the day, I am leaning towards San Pedro as a hunter esque trip to vegas only moderate and modern lol. And lastly no drivers license

Stratosphere
You can get a room in the stratosphere for about $25/night. It's a dump. Smokey casino room sucks. You are begging to get mugged if you walk outside at night. There is no place to walk to actually as you are on the way far north end of the strip.

Yeah it's cheap and if you just want a bed to flop on it's right there for you. If you want a decent cheap place check out the Orleans. It's off the strip but they run shuttles back and forth.

I remember (barely) when I was very young, myself and a couple friends went to the Lake Tahoe Casinos. We all took some L-25. Started peaking while in the casino and I couldn't find my way outside! I ended up having my girlfriend, who wasn't tripping, lead me out. I had to take a break from from all the lights and noise, I usually prefer tripping outdoors. Things can get pretty overwhelming tripping in casinos. It's like sensory overload. Some may like that, I didn't.

The Strat isn't that bad at all. It does border a bad nieghborhood but who spends time walking around the Strat? As when you travel anywhere touristy, you need to keep your wits about you. On a side note, I've won a lot of money in the Strat. The video poker at the bar seems to have a high payoff %. It's definitely not my first choice of places to stay but if your on a budget it's not bad. Treasure Island usually has some good deals and their in a good central location. If you can afford it Mandalay Bay is awesome. They have lots of activities for the under aged. Their waterpark is cool as hell.

I agree Mandalay is very nice. Personally I like to stay at the Luxor. Pretty reasonable rates and 6-8 major casinos within walking distance. (Mandalay, MGM, NYNY, Excalibur, Aria etc)

I have comp's at all the big properties but I always stay at Hooter's unless I bring friends or family, then I will stay at the larger resorts with them. They will send you free rooms and comps in the mail regularly, I just got my mailers this week from MGM Grand (all the properties), Hooters, Ceasars, Circus Circus, Etc... I fly for free so I do overnighters every other month for the hell of it. But to get the comps you have to sign up for one of their players club cards which means handing them your ID :(, so no comps for you.

It is not the waitresses you have to watch for its the security guards and floor people. Walk the strip and find a group of 8 to 10 people all together and blend in to get in ;)

In the last 5 years I have seen Vegas make a little return to the more "adult" side of what Vegas was always like in the 60's, 70's, and 80's. It didn't get the nickname "Sin City" for nothing. It was sad to see so many places try and cater to familes with kids (MGM's failed theme park to name one).I'm not against kids or family vacations but I don't think a city based on gambling, sex, drinking, and all night parties is the right place to take the young ones. Hotties on stripper poles while you play Black Jack? Yup thats where its at!

Is this just me? Am I the only one here who sees this as hopelessly lacking in taste and symmetry? Who sends you these comps, Springer? The Honey Boo Boo show?

Vegas is dead.

All the Casino's in Vegas now have their own players cards and if you use them while gambling they will send you comps. Pretty simple huh? Vegas isn't even close to dead and if you know how to work it right all you need is cash to gamble.

Springer and Honey boo-boo? You actually watch that trash?

Here is one I just recieved from NYNY and have a stack of others on my desk.
