planning my first op

I’m thinking small-scale first n foremost. I think it was stinky bud or something that made an aero perpetual grow I seen on sum site and I like the perpetual idea. I jus seen al b fucked’s op n love it 2 weeks is amazing. I thinking of making a 2x2 ft. for 2 mothers with a 150 hid light that cost 125$ and 2 23w ionizer cfls. I have to add this is all soil n will need advice on soil. I have been reading info on setups for year’s n using nutrients n ppm n ph all scares me n I think I may fuck it up so I want to go soil first. I can buy 23 way 5000k cfls that have a built in ionizer n wonder if anyone has tried these. I’m doing this stealth n smell is a big problem. I want to do Acapulco gold. I’m going to get 4 23 w cfls for the clones. And 3.5x3.5 area split in 4 for the 4 2 week areas I will have my sog flowering in. The lighting for this area will be a digital ballast (air cooled or maybe water but I don’t no were to chip the water part to so most likely air) hid that can use both mh and hps bulbs with 10 23w ionizer cfls spaced evenly on the sides. Totaling 630 watts in this area. Planning on doing 9 clones each time I take clones. Cutting all the bottom branches off leaving the top 3 nods on each one. Starting the clones in a cube of sum kind. I have to check what the shop has to sell. I plan on building the 4-day dryer to dry the buds. I want to use fox farm nutrients and I just heard of purple max n gravity n would like to sum how use these nutrients.

There is 4 square ft. and with 150w hid plus 2 23w cfls it will total 196w = 49w per square ft.

I think that should be more then enough light for clones and

Flower area is 12.25 square ft. total with 400w hid plus 10 23w cfls it will total 630w = 51.4w (dose it have to b 50 exact I heard 50 watts hid per square foot so I guess this is ok. Can you over do lighting?) loll

I will later possible so an ebb n flow grow but I need more confidence in hydro.

I think that I can get 2 to 3 oz. every harvest but only time will tell

I also plan on lining the area with tinfoil? Is that bad? Or flat white.

I’m going to make a passive intake with light trap. 3 or four pc fans exhaust. Maybe something better then pc fans. I have not thought out venting yet I have a little fan that’s pretty powerful for circulation in the flower area

Haven’t thought much about venting. Home made carbon filter. I don’t know were I’m getting rid of the heat. Ill post my ideas after









There are a few questions I have.

Is air-cooled hid good enough?

Will the ionizer on the cfls kill smell? I’m guessing the bud I harvest will have compromised smell as a result of it?

Soil suggestions?

At what time do you trim the bottom branches in a sog grow? How much weeks in?

Distance from the plant tops to light source?

i think humidity 30 to 40 and temps 70 to 80 i think al b fucked said digital thermomiter with memory peak temp or sumthing imma buy all that no problem

actuallly what im looking for is what should i be focusing on a smaller grow? 2 ambitous?
