Planning my first indoor setup, could use some advice pls.

Not sure why it took me so long so start this hobby but im finally ready to dive in. Been researching quite a bunch in the last few days and getting ready to make a few purchases. My plan is most likely start with 2 plants, perhaps 4 if the space will allow it. This is all for personal use so I dont need to be yielding a crap load at a time.
Im planning to make a few purchases on Amazon which are listed below. Since this is my first setup and im a beginner with my own grow, Im thinking this is a decent start and I'm sure after a few tries at it il want to upgrade. But, im on here asking for pointers and opinions.

I was looking at the 600w but reading a ton of reviews maybe are stating to go at least 900w for cannabis.

I figured with 2 plants this would be a good option to allow some sort of workable space. Originally looked at a 2x2 but I like being able to have that room if I want to grow a few more at a time.

Not too much to say about it, the reviews are good. Not too worried about noise.

The rest of the stuff such as mesh pots, soil, nutes im going to source at my local grow shop. They have a ton of cannabis focus products I can look at.

As a beginner, should I be worrying about training like bending or topping? One video I watched stated that I shouldn't even look into topping. Do you think 1 light is enough for 2 plants? I hoped to start small but I'm open to tips and ideas.

I run a couple of the Vivosun tents as veg and random test flower spaces. They seem to be sturdy enough for a beginner tent. Your ventilation system should be adequate as well. The one area I would suggest a rethink is your lighting choice. You are trying to illuminate 8 sq ft of area. 220 watts of blurple isn't going to flower very well. Either use a more efficient light source or more wattage. 30 watts/sq ft using top-shelf diodes like QB's or closere to 50 watts/ sq ft for older 'blurple' diodes.

Gbauto knows whats up, only thing i would add, for your space, this 315 sleek design vivosun CMH would completely smash your space and grow some primo ganja. I wouldnt buy any of the cheaper amazon leds, proper leds will cost anywhere from $1.25-2.00+ $ per watt, unless you go the DIY route, then you an build a nie fixture with proper leds and drivers and save some cash.

I had been looking at CMH/HPS lights but I worried that it would be hotter than LED even though im running an exhaust. I have also seen a few forums topics on here and others. Multiple times it was mentioned to just get 2x300w Mars Led lights and perfect for a 2x4x5 tent. I need to do more research on CMH and HPS regardless. I just stuck with searching LED as I would think they power draw would be less.

Proper leds will def run much cooler than cmh or hps or mh fixtures. The 900w light you linked isn't what I would call legit proper Leds tho.

Old school blurples will give off just as much heat as the cmh in that space I bet without the results of that cmh.

Mars are selling some knockoff qbs nowadays, they might perform better than the old tech blurples

Something like this is more current tech.....

Look into the CMH 315 like Diggs89 mentioned above. It's a great light, pulls low power and has great efficiency. You could always build your own led to fit the space, or buy a newer one as Tim eastwood mentioned

I have to find something in Canada. which I dont think would be an an issue. I do like those pbs but the cost seems to really add up.

Amazon.ca has all of those same cmh fixtures for us Canadians.

Don't forget preventive insecticides and fungicides.

Think about the finish and drying space, jars and hygrometers.

Trimming sheers, pruning sheers, soft ties, trellis netting, sharpies, nitrile gloves, wet vac, zip ties, extension cords, power strips etc etc etc.

Renters/Home owners insurance with fire and flood coverage.

Video surveillance gear.

I could go on but you get the idea.

The search continues. I guess im not too worried about power usage, it was more the heat. As the tent will be in a somewhat confined space im not sure how temps will be as the exhaust is pumping out warmer air.

Oh I know right!? I have already started a list and working on making sense of it in my head. Video surveillance check, and insurance check as I have a sump that quite a bit in the spring and scares me lol.

So on the topic of my training question. Should I go ahead and attempt the bending methods ect?

Never too soon to start gentle training or setting up for a manifold or mainline.

You can always do a vert grow in the same footprint.

But maybe just keep it simple the first few runs.

of course, np. I had around $600cdn in mind but that's when I was looking at those cheaper LEDs. I wouos love to not go to much higher but I also don't want to cheap out and not be happy with the results.

Dang, that's quite low. Maybe you should list everything you need lights last. If you need an extra hundred for a better light. It'll be easier to justify lol.
I'd consider getting a t6 cloud line infinity inline fan with the thermostat

Build around a high quality proven light system, would be my suggestion. Then air movement/ ventilation.
