Im planning to start my first grow in a few days and Im looking for advice on what little things to watch out for
the plan (so far) :
2 x 4 x 7 box
painted white on the inside and lined in the bottom with plastic to keep spills in
layer of styrofoam in the bottom about 2 inches thick so that my pots arnt sitting on the cement
I picked up a 400 Watt MH bulb and ballast
Im also thinking about running 2 4 foot long T8 flouros verticly on each sind and the back
Im going to be venting directly oustide using an activated charcoal filter in the intake side (Inside the box) with a 500 CFM fan through a 4 inch pipe. Tis fan will be on a thermostat set for around 75 to 80
a 10 inch ocilating fan to keep the air inside moving around
holes cut in the bottom of the box below the level of the pots to allow air in
I think that 5 or 6 ladies will sit nicly in the box and will be veged to between 18 and 24 inches
Im thinking about topping one or two of them just to give it a try
Im not sure how well this will work and I may be able to add C02 from a bottle if I need to
Im worried a little about the heat at the top of the box from the MH light and what kind of reflector should I make for it
Im figuring on just using bag seeds for the first grow untill I get the hang of this a little better then I can get clones from a friend
Im not sure what size pots to go with but wouldent the biggest pot that I can fit be the best to allow for root growth
Im not planning on growing a perpetual or anything just one crop from clone to harvest and then start over with new clones (from my ladies before I harvest em
