Planning First Grow.. CFL Lighting question.

Hey i'm new to the forum and am currently planning my first grow. I've got some DNA Genetics Feminized Sharksbreath seeds coming and I want to start growing within a week of their arrival. Because of cost I have to grow using CFLs. I am going to grow two plants in my small closet, it's probably a 2x3 space that I'll close off from the rest of my closet. Anyways, I was wondering if 8 42W CFLS would do the trick? I have attached a photo of how I will set them up, each plant will end up getting +/- 168 watts.. I'm hoping this will be sufficient. Thoughts? Any help is appreciated.

sounds good for your veg stage, but i would double that for flowing
I used 7, 23 watt CFLs for veg, my plants turned out good. They grew a little slow at first but they are nice sized now. Im sure you will do fine with that.

For flowering I would recommend 400 watt HPS which is what im getting tomorrow if you can do it.

If not get double like he said for flowering. Or more if you can.

You can get a 400 watt HPS for around 150 from HTG, mine will be 210 because of the reflector im choosing.

If you go CFL for flower lemme know how they turn out

Hi,
The CFL's will work. I've had success going thru to bud with CFL but I also added a T-5 hi output flouresent for the flowering stage. Make sure you get the correct bulb for the flower stage. You want a bulb with a 3000k output to make the most of your buds!

Best of luck and keep us posted!
