Planned to flower today until I noticed this after work.

Sooo I've been wanting to switch to flower and had to fix an issue. Today was the day until I got home from work to be disappointed. I've got these 4 plants under a net doing a scrog. 600w MH . 3 sweet skunk and a skunk #1. Sweet skunk is about 55 days old from sprout. The skunk one is a week older and has ALot more branches. I'm in fox farm ocean forest so I didn't feed at all until 2 days ago. Reason being all the nutes that are in ocean forest and I transplanted a couple times so they were getting food. I did notice lower leaves starting to die from tips to the base yesterday. They are in 5 gallon pots and I fed at half strength advanced nutrients. I did that Saturday and yesterday they seemed to be good. Today though all the new growth is yellowing quickly. I'm confused because it's the worse on the biggest plant. For that reason I figured it's not nutrient burn. But then I checkec the bottom of the big plant and saw a leaf fell off. I took off about 15 (not cut off) just by grabbing them. They came off like they do when they are flowering. Just fell right off. This only happened on the biggest plant. Any ideas what could cause this? I am thrown off big time. It's yellowing on top and yellowing/dying from the tips to base on the the bottom. The other 3 are starting to show some yellow in new growth but no dead leaves. Could they be hungry still? Please help I need to switch to flower because my screen is full basically. Pictures below show The yellowing of new growth and some of the leaves that came off the skunk #1 biggest plant. Thanks

Are you planning to prune them / flush them for bloom nutes ? Prior to flip ?
Nitro may be a little high ( deep green ).

I am going to prune once they stretch at the beginning of flower. I was not planning on flushing before flowering because I have only fed them once. would a flush be needed? I'm not sure how they could be high in anything when I only fed them once. And it's the biggest one showing these signs the worst. Anything else you think it may be? Thanks for the quick reply

Could be the ocean forest mix is a bit hot for that one plant, or the ph is off. I would check the runoff next time it's watered to see the ph and ppm levels.

i would be leaning to plants are hungry you did mention almost 2 months in that soil ??
probably be a good idea to re transplant into fresh soil for flowering stage allow 3- 4 days for transition but i never understood why people would want to flush a organic soil all your really doing is leaching nutrients away specially N
in organics one should not ever over water there mediums or water to run off example 5 gallons of organic soil water 2 - 2.5 max half of medium

I want to agree with DarthVapour on this, those are probably pretty hungry after almost 2 months. They look alright, a little light in the leaves, which is why i think they need N, also why the biggest would be the worst..it's eating itself faster. Were you planning on supplementing nutes during flower, because that soil won't support it for another 8-10 weeks. I'd throw some food at them, let em green up a bit then switch it, probably looking at another week or so..

If you have only fed once, and your plants have been in the same medium for two months. I am assuming that your soil has a decent N-P-K value already? Also because you said "all the nutes." If so. What the hell is it? The only way your soil would provide enough nutes for two months is if it is a slow release fertilizer. These nutes break down slow to provide nutes over a certain period of time. There sometimes present even after the maxed time of feeding has been reached. Then you go right on top and add a water soluble nutrient solution and wonder why it's a deep green and dying off for some reason. lloll.

I would not transplant right before you switch to flowering. Simply because of stress. You will stunt the plant and prolong the flowering process. Fkk you may even get a hermie! Your best bet is to flush the plant and make sure the orig nutes in the soil have been dissolved. Put them into flower with good air circulation to help dry them out. Let them get pretty damn dry before you water again. Having a digital fkkn ph meter is key to nutrient uptake/availability to the plant. There 11.99 on Newegg.com on sale all the time and the orig price is around 40.00. that's 70% off. All the time i'll say again. They have combos that come with TDS meter as well barely over 20 bucks.

I would also recommend that your using superthrive or some type of stress reducer since you might be flushing. H202 is good to fight off bacteria too as well. You might even could add an extra week into flowering. If you don't have a jewler's loupe or WE it's called to see the THC to determine when it's ready.
Good Luck!!!

The only light color I see in this canopy is where the newer/younger growth is. If you feed again after already over feeding your yield could be a disaster. Think hard before you decide to feed or flush!!!

Yeah I didn't mean to keep throwing food at it..your in soil going to ake a little time to react and come around......patience.

I may have worded that wrong. The plants are two months old but have only been in 5 gallon pots for couple weeks. So all the fresh soil from transplant I assumed would give the plants nutes for a couple weeks and then I just fed them this past Saturday at half strength advance nutes a and b grow and b52. Then this began the following two days. It's werd it would happen so quickly after my first feed. I watered last night with no nutes. It does not appear to be any worse today. I just got out of work so going to inspect more

If had a lot of issues with the a&b grow and bloom. Mainly just over feeding. Is there a reason you don't want to go organic and brew your own tea. Its simple

A wee smidge of Fe . . . . . about 0.3EC and a wee bit of P about 0.4EC will settle her out I reckon :)

But then if it's just had it's first feed of a balanced nutrient, then we could just be witnessing prolific growth :)

i found from growing many years from trees to what ever, and never seen stress from transplanting ever most organic soils or an soils with slow release food in it mentions approx 2 months worth this does not mean that a hungry strain will not eat it up faster or the grower waters to runoff leaching out the nutrients ????
Bottom line i found and stress to new and old growers alike is to transplant into bigger pot and new soil prior to flipping ,, this not only gives you a peace of mind knowing there is no salt build ups or def or toxcities giving plant a smooth transition into next phase remember 2 - 3 weeks of 12 / 12 is still vegging and hormone changes ..
also by transplanting into bigger pot and new soil you do not have issues 3 - 4 th week in when plants flipped to flower mode like we see so much 2week - 5th week problems

Hey thanks for the tips semper. I have a ph tester but I do not have a ppm or ec tester. If it is just showing this change In color because of fast growth after feed would that only show that pale color in the new shoots or would the leaves also take on that color as they grow quickly with it? I ask this because all the new shoots are showing this but as you can see fan leaves are also. They went from a nice green to this within just a couple days. Yet no lower leaves at all consist of this problem.

Appreciate the help. I transplanted from 2 gallon to 5 gallon pots just a couple weka ago. I felt that would be plenty of room for the size grow I am doing. It is a 5x5 scrog so that is another reason I wouldn't transplant at this point.

There is no reason I don't make my own. Never really done much research on that particular topic. I wasn't aware it was a very simple process
