oh, it is the dog, but you can't blame it. it's just doing what it knows.

rattlesnakes aren't mean either, ......... YouTube - See To Believe: Snake Worship
If it's a dog that is raised to fight, and it mauls someone, then YES, it's the dog and it's just doing what it knows.

But pits are like any other dog, you can raise them normally. You don't HAVE to raise them to fight. It's not like they're just violent dogs.

I had a pit and a dachshund at the same time, the dachshund was the one you had to watch out for.

im glad you did your research....NOT.

-Can Pit Bulls "turn" on people?
In fact, no breed of dog does. Dog aggression is nearly always preceded by some kind of warning, and there is always a reason behind the attack. However, many inexperienced owners do not recognize the dog's behavior as aggression, or refuse to acknowledge it as a warning sign. The only exception I can think of is Springer Rage, a rare and controversial neurological condition that manifests itself as a spontaneous attack, followed by confusion, and then a return to normal behavior. Pit Bulls are NOT prone to this condition. There are individual dogs of any breed that may be more aggressive to others.

-- BUT SINCE IM IN DENIAL, I throw this FACT out there as well.

Pit bulls are bred to fight.
This is very important to understand. Pit bulls love humans, but they need to have very responsible owners who will be vigilant all the time and will not allow them to fight with other dogs, ever. Pit bull owners must be extremely receptive to canine body language and know that the responsibility of their dog with any other dog ultimately depends on them.

thanks for the new thread, fdd.

pitbulls were bread to be "dog aggressive" otherwise bread to be in dog fighting rings, so yes it does have a naturally short temper and bad attitude, but if raised from birth in a loving and nurturing enviroment they can be the best dogs ever, also rotts

Cocker Spaniels are actually one of the most aggressive and unpredictable breeds... But they are considered a family friendly pet...

The dogs that came out of nowhere to bite you? I must have missed something.

The dogs that "came out of nowhere" did exactly that, came from no where. If they were sheltered dogs that were taken care for they wouldn't be running loose chasing anybody they see.

I speak from google FACTs when everybody else is to close-minded and put down a dogs owners opinion.

Saying how in denial we are and such...

Its funny how now you're acting neutral, where as before they were just dangerous killers.

exactly. those dogs are ridiculous. So unpredictable..talk about scary.

I'm going to step away from this thread and go smoke a doobie.

I trust my dogs around anyone and thats good enough for me. Everyone else that is so close minded and have no first hand experience, jump out of your bubble and get some fresh air...FREAKS. :weed::fire:

Chow Chows are pretty vicious. I've lived in two different places where there was like wild pack of Chow Chows that terrorized the neighborhood.

I dislike those tiny shthead kinda dogs... My neighbor has one that never stops barking.. You'd think they'd try to train it to stop but they just give it cheese instead... If I ever commit animal cruelty it will be on that dog... lol

Pitbulls are actually known as the Nanny dog because they want to please their people so bad they will do anything for them. They watch over the kids and everyone in their pack family. Weird that all the thugz have one I mean a nanny hahaha Now as for the little barker bastards I got two of them Miniature pinchers they are crazy and you won't be getting in my yard anytime soon.

who's neutral and where did i say "dangerous killers"?

"came outta nowhere", as in i was kickin' it in my buddies yard or what-not.

you're close minded if you can't admit that pitbulls are dangerous.

please tell me, why a pit? over every other breed, why a pit?

you're denying facts again. look at how they are built and tell me they aren't genetically engineered to hurt things. do you know what they were originally used for? and NO, it's not pit fighting.

Damn fdd. you said you would start a thread and here it is...that is so fucking funny you made my day awesome.
yeah pits are so overrated in every aspect. i mean to many people try to get rep in the city with there damn dogs.so the dog is tough and your a pussy so what. my neighbor did that and would give it tires to fucking shred up.but it was also so fucking nice to me.but that doesnt mean i dont think it would have fucking attacked me if it didnt want to.it would chase down cars and hang from tree branches by biting on to it...hanging in the air...damn.
personally im a cat person...you cant go wrong with a cat.but the one dog i can say is the nicest and most loving is the lab....they are the best dog..
and everyone hates those damn ankle biting dogs...lol and they are the meanest!!!!

Who cares what they were originally used for. Look at where the breed has come today.

If you read all my posts you would've noticed I never denied the fact that they are CAPABLE of being dangerous. What im saying is, they dont just lose it and there are lots of myths about these dogs.

I chose a pit because my past experiences with pits. They're loyal and loving and I've never seen any signs of aggression come from any of my dogs or my friends pits.

IT IS about how you raise them, and they're not just loose cannons.

PS: Stoverdro, the tire was a chew toy and the dog probably loved it. As far as hanging from a tree my dog hangs from a rope all day long. Its probably his favorite exercise.

PSS: I raised both my dogs. The second guy, Brutus, was going to be used for dog fighting. He is a complete sweet heart and a huge lover. In my opinion, aside from his hunting capability and strength, hes a big pussy.
