pistils/bud sites in center of fan leaves

Has anyone seen or heard of such? I have a TGA Apollo13BX with strange growth. She started off like a rocket with more branches than any variety that I have grown. Instead of two branches per node, she had three up till flowering. Took clones that are now in 3rd week of flowering and noticed this morning that there are pistils growing out at the center of upper fan leaves! Where the seven leaves meet their stem she is trying to form buds! Is this some lucky freak plant or was it caused by some stress? Whatever the case I'm keeping this puppy in my garden for a long time. SubCool brags about the Apollo being an excellent choice for hash and I can see why with small buds on fan leaves!

I have heard that there are strains that will grow bud out of fan leaves and have seen pictures of it before

uhhhh. Its too blurry. Besides, its not a big deal. Ive seen it happen to quite a few people. Just means that she is chomping at the bits to flower probably.

Damn! I only have a few grows under my belt and thought that I found something special. Oh well, the trim hash should be that much better. Think i finally got a better pic here for those interested.

Damn that's trippy! How many leaves is that happening on?
So far only on the first few fan leaves of the main cola. None lower but i suspect I'll be seeing a lot more pop up as she finishes flowering. Right now they are on the third week of flower.

Nope never seen anything like that - its weird but hey, cant be bad - you should get some nice buds growing there as the fan leaves will be able to divulge all its photosynthesis means into that site

You should clone that plant before you continue flowering those look like some genetics you would want to hold onto
Momma is still in the veg chamber, but she is 3 and 1/2 months along and I have abused her by planting in MG and perlite in 5 gal grow bag. Shes a bit light in color with wilting, yellowing bottom leaves. I have very little experience with dirt. I usually just put moms in MG for the low maintenance, water when needed, pull a couple of rounds of clones and toss the mom out. Never flowered in dirt. I'm not sure if its a nute deficiency, root bound or both. I will start showing her a lot more attention now. How long can you keep a mom viable for cloning? With my Miracle Grow method they are practically dead by the fourth month. Wish I had kept a good dad around to make seeds but didn't want to seed my whole garden.

I think you might be able to pull a clone off if you do it soon, as long as its indoors, but make sure to take an actual node because those fan leaves can deceive you
