I don't have, own, or read a book that I push on anyone.

The most important thing is the freedom to believe what you want without others judging you, killing you, pushing you into a sense of false security while raping you of your cognitive functions.
I own a whole bookshelf FULL of books I try to push off on other people all the time! Read these, they're good for your mind!

Paleolithic Prescription- the best diet book, ever.

Guns, Germs and Steel, Dr. Jared Diamond- best history book, lays the foundation of all other history.

Collapse, also by Dr Diamond- THIS is Prophecy of the sort I can believe in. Using examples of failed civilizations throughout history, he fleshed out exactly why we humans are doomed if we remain on this planet.

I also have Michael Carlisle's bicycle racing training and coaching guide for future Lance Armstrong types (funny, it doesn't mention doping).

Musashi's Five Rings is a good philosophy primer, and an excellent introduction to the pithier Art of War by Sun Tzu.

Seneca was a lazy bastard who couldn't be bothered to scratch his own ass without a bad attitude. So I don't have any of his grumpy shit.

Socrates was fascinating, but we as a civilization have thankfully moved on.

Asimov and Heinlein. And Cherryh. And Niven. William Gibson. These are my prophets, because they guessed at the future with clear eyes.

My mission in life is about leaving something behind others can chew on, whether that's a meal from hydroponic equipment I helped develop or food for thought.

And thank the dear lord baby infant jeebus for that. We can always use a few of you free thinkers around here!

What's more important? Your relationship with society or your relationship with god?

I think taking care of fuck ups on the street is way more important than a relationship with a deity. Don't you agree? What is more altruistic?

This is my first thread in S&S&P, so please, don't be gentle...
I think the most important relationship one can have... is one with your own self...if you aren't happy with you, you will have no peace.

Sig worthy. If mine wasn't already filled with vain attempts to satisfy my need for attention, this would be it.
Y'all should be glad I decided to play nice, grow weed and play with hydroponics and vertical toys and shit.

Cuz if I had a bad attitude, I'd go to work on my other ideas... like the cockroaches from the end of the world.

I want my legacy to be about helping people, however- not helping some megalomaniac kill them.

We should arm wrestle one day. I might even get drunk and let you take advantage of me.

i dig those 4 pics of the lord, i mean you get some that are just plain jane jesus, very average..but those look pretty fucking holy to me, i think there should be a rating system(probably by us as no one else seems to be able to see these qualities) that specifies the levels of holiness certain pics define, 1. average holiness, 2. pretty fuckin holy, 3. fricken shit hot holy, 4. cum in yur pants holy, as holy as it gets

I was raised a good catholic girl...that was traumatic, so my relationship with society is real and more important whereas my relationship with God was forced and no longer totally applicable.
