Pineapple Express Curing!

I am currently curing what will eventually be around 2 ounces dry of some pineapple express. I want to know when that crazy dank/diesel smell that they had before harvest will come back???? Right now it is barely there. Its dry enough to smoke and it IS SOME FIRE just doesnt smell like it anymore.

After about a month of curing

i only lost my smell for a couple days while they were wet. it came back after a couple days in the jar.idk. cool temps mb?

crack a bud in half...if u get that dank smell wen u do it ur still good and just keep curing.

Gik69 It was 4 clones that I was given. They were grown outdoors during winter. Each plant was only about 18" tall and got about a half ounce from each plant. The same strain indoors is much less dense, and a lot lighter in color. My buds are tinted with purple all over im guessing because of the cool weather. I have lots of little buds. No monster buds on this grow.

Sometimes the shit loses smell, in your case you should not if it really smelled dank as hell... The smell comes back after you hit around the 60 percent humidity mark... I have some Diablo OG that smelled awsome while growing... and only has the slight smell of coffee right now... does not even smell like dank at all.... but when people give it a whirl it is the bomb..... in the beginning my issue with losing smell was I was harvesting too early....

Letting your buds dry out too much too fast is the number one reason they lose that fruity smell. Like someone earlier mentioned, if you still smell it when grinding/cracking a bud in half, then you shouldn't worry but so long as it still reeks nicely on the inside, the smell will spread throughout, over time.

Also was mentioned about keeping 60% humidity in jar is spot on....Get a Caliber III that is used for cigar boxes to put in jars to take guess work out. I have one that I use when I feel Bud is not where it should be just to keep a peace of mind.
Try to keep curing at 60%-65% humidity and you can leave it be for months. You will get the hang of curing after a few harvests then your kicking ass!
