The cat missing post got deleted coz it was a joke. That's why I didn't respond. The storyline was flawed!!
If you were moving house, firstly it wouldn't take a week and secondly nobody in their right mind would take a cat if they were moving house the same week. Aquaintance or no acquaintance.
Also, possession is 9/10 of the law.

You got the fluffy version of mine! That one has lost a lot of weight since we moved, lots a room to run around outside now; but before when she was pretty fat she looked like a mini bear rug laying on the couch arm.
