Oh ok. But still don't need as much light as you're running right now. It would normally flower in the fall time so it would get even less light than in the summer time. And what kind of lights are they? 2700k or 6500k?

Na man, I actually used 8 100/26w 6500k bright whites and got those monsters. Now I have a whole mess more of the softies.

***WARNING***
FIRE HAZARD!!! Buy a large compact cfl. i have a 430 watt cfl with a hood, and it does the trick. 23,400 Lumens, tho i haven't tested it with a light meter. Please dont burn down your house. Flower early with CFL's, and counteract your light penetration problem.

They look really nice tho! 400 and 600 w HIDs are cheap and much more efficient. Good luck!

Money is tight, and I actually got the bulbs and fixtures for free. So that made my decision to use cfl easy. If i had lute, I would for sure upgrade. This will work for sure tho right?

What do you mean by light penetration problem? All help and advice is wanted.
CFL light doesn't penetrate as deep into the canopy. as HID lighting does. As someone stated earlier your setup would be more beneficial with the cfl's being around the plant, with a few above the plant. Your setup at the moment would work much better as a sog grow. Also as someone else has mentioned there's a large debate whether adding more lights actually increases lumens. Some say no matter how many cfl's you add your lumens would be equal to the lumens of your brightest bulb while others say lumens add up. Your best bet for maximum yield would be tt place the lights all around the plant.
