Philly's First Grow

(PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COMMENT IN HERE!!!!!! THE MORE HELP THE MERRIER)

Hello rollitup….
I have been keeping other grow logs on 1 or 2 other sites, but after a lot of lurking here, it seems that this is definitely one of the sites that I would like to become an active member of. The knowledge base here is clearly immense and I hope that some of you will pull up a seat and watch me finish off my first real grow. I am going to give some details about what is going on and then I am going to post some pics from throughout the past 8-10 weeks or so. I hope you all enjoy looking as much as I have enjoyed the process.
****************************
I started with 5 girls but sadly the blubonic turned out to be a male. However, I was left with a Cin Diesel, a Hashberry, and 2 Strawberry Coughs.
I am growing organic soil in a 2’ x 3’ x 5.5’ box, 400 Watt air-cooled HPS, passive intake with a very strong exhaust fan and temps are running around 68 @ night and 70 (lower branches) / 85-87 at the canopy. Also, humidity has been sitting right around 40-50% since flowering started. pH has been pretty cosistant around 6.5 or so and for nutes I am using foxfarm.
Also, I just leeched the soil 2 days ago to deal with a potential salt buildup situation.
-Lastly, I am 38 days into flowering and I am planning on letting 2 of them go for 8 weeks and the coughs for 9 weeks.
**Sorry about all the info, but I wanted to get as much info across so some of you experts can chime in with any advice or comments. If I left something out, please let me know and I will give you more info.

Anyway, on to the pics…

Here was the box being built:

Here was once I got some girls and was picking which were best.

Here were the girls on day 2 of 12/12

Strawberry Cough 2

And here are some shots from the past week or so…

And here is my post from 2 days ago, from now on things will be done in real time.
Things are looking a little droopy from the leaching yesterday but I think it will be for the best.
First up is the diesel. There are 3 fan leaves that have gotten yellow. They are still firmly attached to the plant so I figure not to cut them. I could use the extra space for other nugs thou so if it wont hurt the plant, could I cut em off?

The next 2 are the hashberry

And here are the coughs, still in the box

And here is my post from yesterday....From here on out the updates will be time accurate.

Looking nice man, I would just add another coat of paint to the walls after this grow. Do you have another piece of PVC on the outside connecting the pieces you have on the inside? If you only have the one 90° bend than it is not light tight

Yea, I was running low on funds while building the box so I could only use one coat of paint. This box is only gonna be around for this cycle (I am getting a bigger growlab tent for the next go round and I think I am gonna put this box in my storage area and use this box as a drying box for me and my friends crops.

As far as the light proofing: the intakes are not 100% light proof, but they are pretty close. I also have two layers of black stockings acting as a small layer of filtration and some light blocking. I have been able to get all of the cracks around the doors sealed with sealers and some panda plastic my friend gave me but he middle crack between the two doors has been unable to be sealed. My solution is covering the front two doors with another piece of panda plastic and then cover the entire front with a thick blanket. I also leave the lights off in my room about 95% of the time when the lights are off in the box. Also, When the lights are on and my room is fully dark, I cant see ANY light coming out of the box.
I read somewhere once that 1% light leak during the day drops bud density by like 25% or something crazy, so I have been very careful about keeping the box light proof. Not sure if that is true but if anyone knows feel free to share.

Quick Update:
After the leaching, some of the leafs deff. were showing signs of nutrient deficiencies. Hopefully, the feeding they got yesterday should help deal with the deficiencies. I also pulled off the 2 or 3 of the really bad leaves. Anyway, I figured I would put up some pictures to see if anyone has any comments.

Looking good Philly, rep it for Illadelph.

Holler at me via PM if you've ever got an issue specific to our area of the woods.

update:
Monday is the completion of the 6th week of flowering. Things seem to be looking good and the diesel and hashberry are deff. in to full flowering. The coughs seem to be about 5-7 days away from really starting to pump out the resin the way the other 2 are. They also just got another feeding and the runoff ph is sitting right around 6.5ish (although its done with a drop tester so I can only get so accurate). Temps are still looking good, with day temps around 83 (a few inches from the light, and where the coughs are) and around 78/80 where most of the hashberry and disel is growing. Night temps are around 70 and the humidity is sitting around 33%-45%.
I will get pics up tomorrow night when they wake up, but I have some questions in the mean time.
1. Can my humidtiy cause a problem if its sitting around 30%-35%? I know you want it a little lower near the end of flowering so mold can be avoided, but is a low humidity going to be detrimental at all to the flowering process?
2. I can not find any info on my "Cin Diesel". I am not sure how long the flowering time will be so I am not totally sure about when to begin the flush. My gut says it will take a few days more then 8 weeks but if anyone has genetic info, and flowering times, that would be great!! Im sure when I get some pics up, people will be able to give me a better idea.I will do my best to get accurate pics to see if anyone can help.

Gotta believe your Cinnamon Diesel is a Cinnamon x Diesel cross, but as obvious as it sounds, that is just a guess.

The breeders of each are below if you'd like to do some searching.

Cinnamon (Femaleseeds.nl)
Diesel (White Label)

Tomorrow is the end of the 7th week of flowering. Things are really starting to fatten up all around. The trichs are pretty much milky on the Diesel now and I just started the flush. The hashberry got its last feeding before I start its flush and the coughs still have a little while to go.
Here are a few pics and a close up of the diesel for ya...

And I know I should not have done it, but I snagged the smallest of the branches of the diesel and the cough. Oh well, the BHO i made is deff worth it.

Soooo, FINALLY it was time to harvest the first of my plants. I followed the trichs and today about 10%-15% of them were amber. As a result, I chopped the hashberry and I have it hanging for a dry as we speak. I will do a big update this weekend (now that i have a good camera) but here are a few teaser pics in the mean time.
