I looked around and didnt you see anything.I use bakeing soda and white vinegar. If you think about it fish has to live it the ph water. So the ph buffer has to be life and plant safe. There are aquqrium plants in the tank too.So yes my opinion is you can use it .To me it's sounds like a pure clean PH buffer. Peace PS dose anybody have any input on this?

What's the difference between Aquarium grade ph up and down and normal horticultural ph up and down? The main thing you need to bear in mind is that as the ph up and down contains acids they contribute to the overall TDS figure in your nutrient solution so make sure you take your EC readings after you've ph corrected the water.

were not talking about nutes, were talking about adjusting ph. Aquarium ph up and down does the exact same thing as any other. And I told you to read the question because you ask if it was a hydro setup and he said it was in his question. Anyway thats just my 2 cents..

Thanks for the input everyone. I do not have grow shops anywhere near my home so I am trying to make due with what is around here.

Well, you don't have to 'make due,' because you don't owe me any money. :blsmoke:

Unlike what most of you guys have decided, all pH adjusters are not the same, and certainly don't act the same way with your plants.

First off, stuff that won't hurt fish may kill your plants. Like sodium, if your fish stuff has any kind of sodium in it, don't use it on your plants. Other adjusters, like vinegar and baking soda, will work temporarily, but will not stabililze.

It's best to use an adjuster that will also supply stuff your plants need. I use folic acid during veg, and phosphoric acid during flowering.
