Who makes one that actually works?
I have a $20.00 unit Rapitest from Luster Leaf. What a piece of shit. It reads 7 out of the box. Needle is not stuck. Miracle grow reads 7. Fox Farms Ocean Forest reads 7. Potting soil from flower container..7. Plant pots that have had plants in them for 10 years in the house... 7. My garden (legal) which is mostly sand... 7. I bet if I stuck it up my ass it would read... yep, 7. If it would just flucuate one time I might think it is working but clearly it does not!

Also does anyone make a ph meter for water that does not use strips? I have well water but do not know what the ph is.

From experience I use litmus paper for water. The pH testers invariably have to be calibrated. The wet bulb types absolutely suck. Keep it wet in 4.0 like required and still have it screw up.
