What water are you using?RO ,tap,distilled,well?I think the rock wool is causeing promblems with the ph.I use the hydroton clay balls,they are ph neutral.I got away from rock wool all together and use rapid rooter plugs.They work better for me. Peace

5 points? Like from 5.0 to 10.0? That large a jump sounds like a meter failure.

Using RO H20 checking with meter and strips meter is working fine every day I have to lower the PH?

Yeah, if it's too high, then you will have to lower it. Just what is the 5 points that it moves? Is it really 5 points, like Al B. said, or is it one-half point?

The ideal range for hydro pH is 5.5 - 6.0.

5 real point and your plants would be dead for sure, do you mean a half point? like from 5.5 moving up to 6? or 5 full points (like ph 5 moving up to ph 10?)
