get pH down. you def need to lower it to 6.5 if you're using soil or 5.5? i think, for hydro. i've been trying lemon juice to lower mine i'm having that problem right now, i've heard lots of ppl say it's fine and one say i shouldn't use it, get pH down, but i don't have the cash available right now soo lemon juice it is

pH your water to see where it is at, Adjust it with pH down to where you want it. pH it again after adjusting. When you add this water to your pot, it will adjust the soil for you. Happy growing.

Lime will raise it, the guy wants (and needs) to lower it.

lime will effect eh PH of everything in your soil..it is no different than thinking if i pour PH ballanced water on your soil is going to dillute and change the PH of the soil..and seeing as the PH of lime WILL NOT GO OVER seven....the soil that it is mixed with.when water is poured into it will treat that soil with the lime and its PH....that will not exceeed SEVEN..
