ph is lowering like crazy

Hello. I am currently running RDWC and using GH nutrients. Currently in flower and I am having issues w my ph, it is lowering significantly pretty much everyday. I get it up to 5.8 and the next day it is around 5.3... I had over fed them and had to flush w new water etc. Before any of that happened i never had to ph up, and would just need to ph down when it reached near 6.3-6.5 like normal. Is this simply from too high of nutrients?

How much water are they consuming daily?

When I did hydro (not currently running hydro) , if my ec was set too high, then the plants would uptake more water than nutes, resulting in a stronger solution in the res. The answer was to bring down ec a bit, until their uptake was more in balance.

I know that's a vague answer, but it is my experience.

I'm having the same issue, but am finding that all my plants are doing the same thing after flushing out the old nute mix and replacing with freshly PH'd nute mix. Both water levels and PPMs are going down along with the PH, but the PH drop isn't as drastic. And if I top off with nute mixed RO water Ph'd at 6.0, it brings up the PH from 5.5 to about 5.7 - I'm using 4 2 gallon buckets for the sativas and 1 5 gallon bucket straight DWC for the indica/sativa hybrid. I defoliated the plants last weekend and brought my 250w MH down to 6-18 inches from tops to increase light intensity. They've been sprouting new growth over the course of this week and now are like little bushes and stand at about 2-2.5 ft tall.
