ph for promix-hp

The Ocean Forests bag that run around 17 bucks would be 1.5 cubic feet which would be good for any where between 3 and 5, 5 gallon buckets, depending on if you mixed the soil with perlite or some other source for proper drainage. The ratio would then determine how much of what you'd need... 75/25 soil to perlite is the most common mix, but find what works for you. .5 cubic feet is about the amount of material you're looking for per 5 gallon bucket.

been using FFOF for 3 grows now and never any ill results. I do add a 70/30 mix of soil to perlite. I aslo add 1 cup of dolomite lime (pulverized) per bag of ffof soil. I never check ph run off, and always ph to 6.5 going in.

I am not seeing many answers to the previous questions.....help, I wanna know too! Never used this product before.

Using Pro mix HP, started at 6.0ph, now 4th wk flower, - - growth slowed! Run off ph testin at 4.0! Need to raise that back to the 6 range.......HOW???
If using the dolomite lime....any idea how much and best way to apply to otherwise very healthy plants? Do you just add to top of medium or dissolve in H2O?

THANKS for any advise in advance!!

I use pro mix bx with added perlite and dolo lime. The lime brings it up to around 7 so I water/feed at 6. About every 3rd time ill drop it down to around 5.5 to get some swing action going and the girls seem to love it.
This is what works for me.
Good Luck

Ive been using promix for a few years and the best info i received was to remember that it is not true soil. Treat it as passive hydro and keep PH around 5.7.

Look at my signature to see the results.....

40% FFOF, 40% Happy Frog, 15% Perlite and a 5% mixture of worm castings, dolomite lime, blood meal and bone meal. Works like a charm for me, ph your water and/or nutes to 6.6 and rock and roll.

Note: all %'s by volume, not by weight.

I had issue after issue with ph in promix HP test after test and no matter when I thought had it it would change nothing made sense. So was bit costly in seeds but I decided to just leave it not do shit until seen problem my tap water is roughly 8 and have had no problems use very small amounts of nutes less flushing and seems to work out great! At 1gal a month ratio after that ph started to climb as in my photoperiod plants in 3 gal pot need to adjust ph before watering in that last 4 to 6 weeks. I dunno just my experience with it last 2 years now np! Hope it helps someone else was hell

how do you check the PH in soil less ? i'd like to get a meter but its kinda pricey. and ive seen the drops u put into a little vile and match the color but i dont think that would work cuz the water comes out brown or stained to begin with. i think those are just for aquarimums and pools. maybe they work?? i'd like to try those litmuth papers we used to use in high school chemistry. but i dont know where to find those.
Do a soil slurry test.
