PG&E Reporting high bills?

I heard this never happens as long as you pay your bill and don't steal power. Every local indoor bust people were stealing power or doing something else to draw attention to themselves. What are your guy's experience?

Pay your bill, they don't care what you're doing as long as they get theirs. My friends cousin worked for our local power company in loss prevention, I learned some things from her. She told me in the ten years she was there they never prosecuted a homeowner they caught stealing power, only businesses. Only time she knew the police were ever called was when a homeowner tried stopping them from fixing the bypass, and usually the police only detained the homeowner until the work was done. It's small potatoes for them and not worth the cost or time, usually.

A grow light doesn't take any more electricity than other things people run all the time in their homes, like heaters and dehumidifiers
