peyote

Can someone please give me a breakdown of Peyote(or any other hallucigenic cacti)My ancestors used it(half Navajo) and i would like some more information.

Peyote/mescaline is the only hallucinogen I can't seem to find. It's definately on the top of my "things to try" list. I know there are legal strains of mescaline producing cacti. Can you just buy them already grown or what?

Peyote takes years to grow it's bulbs, you're better off looking for san pedro cactus (botanical name trichocereus pachanoi), or some of the members of the trichocereus (sp?) family. I've heard reports of people finding them in home depots and lowe's in the local areas, I know more about them but I'm drunk and don't feel like typing so if you have any more questions I'll answer them specifically.

yes... you can buy them grown... do not try to eat it like it is.. it is very nasty... my brother did this when we were kids. san pedro. yuck.

i'm sure there are plenty of methods, just something im not interested in.

It does taste like crap, I remember last year doing some, and having to try different ways of injesting it.....horrible taste, like cardboard, only worse. I ended up tossing the whole mess into spaghettii sauce to mask the taste and eating it that way.

I remember another one that contains mescaline, it's called the Peruvian Torch cactus.

don't you have to eat a LOT more San Pedro than Peyote to get the experience? seems like i read that somewhere..

RasIsaac: if you are sincerely interested in your ancestral use of this plant do more research; you may be able to buy it legally (grown by Peyote farmers) in Texas and Arizona.

The potency of San Pedro varies widely, from nearly no mescaline to being more potent than some peyote. It's recommended that you not eat more than one and a half pounds of cactus (about 12" cutting) until you know the strength of that particular cactus. These things can grow gigantic and some people have them in their yard and don't even know it.

Yea, thats the main reason i asked because my fathere, brother and I are legally able to obtain it, and i was just curious what others thought before i went out to buy it.

I think you should definetly try it and its legal for you too. bring me back some please

I havent done anything like mushies or cactus, but been talking to friends and I was wondering which one is going to be the best to sit with a few friends for the first time.

We want to laugh our arses off
We would like to get decent hallucinations without going too stupid

What would you recommend

Mushrooms would be better suited for a 1st time use, you'll have tons of fun.

I can't stress the point, "take a small amount first"

The 2nd time I did boomers, my friend did waaaay too much and acted like he lost his mind and tried to kiss me and his brother (I am a heterosexual dude, hense I had a large problem with this).

The whole ensuing fiasco ruined my trip as one my be able to guess.

I recommend LSD

You know...it just aint the same anymore. Back when I was younger, in the late 60's there was some great LSD.

No ive had my time with acid and i wouldnt touch it again, i just want something thats more light hearted and a bit of a laugh thats good with a few friends with some mild halucinations thrown in.
