Periodic Flushes With DWC

i will probably start using nutrients a couple weeks after the seeds sprouting and of course will stop using them 2-3 weeks before harvest. I'm wondering if periodic flushes throughout the plants life cycle are necessary. I assume this would mean switching out reservoir with plain water maybe once a month or so. Also during the flushing before harvest would it make any sense to add molasses or some other natural sugar to the reservoir?

no need for flushes until about to 1 to 2 weeks before harvest. you dont want to stress your plant out and dont starve those ladies. (besides your weekly res change)

Do not add mollasis to hydroponics as this will bring you mold/fungi/root rot. Mollasis works great for soil though as the microbes and mycos feed on that stuff but in hydro you need a Differnt kind of sugar such as sweet as this has a Differnt form that seems to have less problems.Depending on what your reserver looks like(cloudy or clear) and how much water/nutrients that its holding tells you when to flush.

I seem to flush my small 5 gallon dwc about once a week as my larger 12 plant 55 gallon system once a month. If you do not flush there will most likely be nutrient lock up as the fertilizers build up in the medium. Also when I flush my 5 gallon bucket system I empty the old nutrients then fill it up with pure water with maybe alittle flora clean then run thay for about 1 hour then I empty and refill with fresh nutrients. Make shore your ph is between 5.5-6.5 (for hydro) and your ppm set to the appropriate stage in growth.

I flush once beginning flower then again at day 23 or so then again at day 44ish. So three times and never flush at end harvest neither.

I fill up bucket with water let it go for couple days then add nutes to ppm so I don't waste my RO water. It works great and 24 to 48 hours flush in between stages works well for me.
