Perfect example of how stupid club owners and the MMJ biz are ruining it for everyone

Ryan Landers, a Sacramento AIDS patient who leads a medical marijuana policy group called "the Compassionate Coalition," said trade shows featuring "Hot Kush Girl" contests and spicy ads "make my job a hell of a lot harder to convince people what we're doing is true and real."

Most medical marijuana dispensaries refrain from suggestive advertising – and some even feature multiple sclerosis patients or car accident victims who use cannabis for chronic pain.

But the California Organic Collective dispensary in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley touts bikini-clad counter attendants in ads that depict a buxom nurse holding a red, nipple-shaped stethoscope to her breast.
Talk about thinking in the short term, and shitting in their (our) own backyard.. Do these dumb motherfuckers really think advertizing their meds like it was malt liquor is a good idea?

Not much different than these forums. Along side those who are legit mmj patients we have folks talking about growing shrooms. Making LSD. Smoking salvia ect...I do agree promoting with skin is simply bad taste.

I agree, with almost-naked models advertising, it's obvious they are targeting the recreational user. And that goes against the medical MMJ laws and puts a negative light on all the efforts to keep it legal medicinally. Very bad pR

Never minding what the feds are trying to do to us, there's also a shitload of people here in this state that would love nothing more than to see 215 repealed, many of whom originally voted for it. Why? Because people have made a complete fucking mockery of it.

How in the fuck can we expect anyone to take us seriously when we hire girls in thongs to advertise our medicine to healthy, horny young men in the 18 to 24 demographic?

This is why we can't have nice things. Short-sighted stupidity.

This shit pisses me off. Id say 90% of cali dispensaries r for profit. Very small amount of them doing it for the patients. Shit like this just makes california look even worse.

We need to follow in colorados foot steps. They got a special branch of gov that deals with just medical marijuana!

This is why imo more patients need to get together and form actual collectives, where the patient is growing with a group of other patients thus splitting both the meds and the cost. If more of this was going on you would see an even bigger increase of a diversity in strains and quality. I believe the overall cost would go down as well.

Every club that's been forced to close it's doors due to the majority of them being too stupid/greedy/lazy to even bother with pretending that they're providing medicine, and instead advertising their product like it was malt liquor, leaves real people in need of quality, pesticide-free, organic meds, which are fortunately available direct from local farms. =]
