people who spend their money on dumb shit..

I live with my dad and pay a substantial amount of money in bills. I realize most of you probably wouldn't classify that as 'dumb' so much as necessary, but what do you expect someone in that kind of situation to do, save the remaining scraps for 15 years and then go spend it on first and last months rent?

If you ask me, that seems pretty nonsensical.

I'd rather post up in dads place and keep what little money I have that remains.
With the cost of living nowadays, I don't see any shame in living with family. Shit, around here it is pretty normal to see multiple families living together (aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, kids).

And dude, you pay bills. Nothing to be ashamed of.

ever think it's retarded when people who live at home and barely have a pot to piss in spend $400 on a phone or $2000 on a macbook they can't afford? 99% of the time they use credit cards to pay for this shit... How will they ever get out of mommy and daddy's house if they piss away their last pennies on something that is really rather nonessential? I notice many times, the people who can't afford it, have more stuff to make themselves look like they are ballerz :eyesmoke:

lol, just a thought.

if u live with your parents, keep your money in your pocket because the goal is to someday get your own life.

1. Hood Rich 822 up, 150 down
You managed to finance the Escalade for despite your terrible credit, but you don't have any money for gas. You live in your mom's house but wear blingin' chains. TRANSLATION: Someone in the ghetto who spends money they obviously don't have is "Hood Rich". A Repo-man's wet dream.

there is a saying that goes: tattoos are a great way to express... how bad with money you are. :bigjoint:
Funny thing is people with tattoos don't give a shit whether you have any or not......Its only ever non tattooed people that look down on the tattooed folk.

one of my ex coworkers bought everything she owns with credit cards. She bought her car, truck trailer house and whatever else she spent money on, on like 20 credit cards. I would just think to myself, this bitch, keeps adding to our debt by fucking using credit carDS to buy everything and she can barely make payments on time....

oh, and she was or still is on muthafuckin welfare man... she got the works:blsmoke::blsmoke::blsmoke::blsmoke::blsmoke:

I know a guy who bought a $400 guitar hero controller, I tried to talk him out of it and it worked for a while then I didn't see him for a few months and he bought it. But he does like guitar hero so I guess to him it's not a waste.
I can see that. Somebody who doesn't have much money and spends 400 on something the rest of us might find useless and a waste, but to him it's his entire entertainment budget for the year or whatever, but that's what entertains him and he gets his money's worth. What is problematic is a pattern of buying stuff like that all the time.

I think there used to be a lot of such people, and there still are some. But their numbers are dwindling I suspect. Credit is really tight and the hammer is coming down.

I have a friend broke as shit, no fault of his, school and work. Hes got a 70" TV an Xbox, tons of games and liteeraly nothing else, a chair I guess.. the TV seems ridiculous for how poor he is BUT his money is saved and its his only toy/expense.. really looking at it through Tet's lens, its not that outlandish..

everything in moderation even moderation..

I stopped a few days ago at my local convenience mart to get a cup of coffee on my way to work. At the front of the line was a man with his daughter. She was about 4-5 years old, cute but with a dirty face and no shoes. I watched as her "father" put a tall boy beer on the counter and carefully selected no less than 8 lottery tickets. He had to dig around in his pockets for change for the last ticket. His little girl was in the candy aisle trying to convince him to buy her various treats as she was clearly hungry, each time she picked a item he simply said "NO! We don't need that !" I started to erupt on this guy but simply walked over, grabbed some orange juice, peanut butter crackers and one of the candies the little girl wanted then handed them to her. The clerk shook his head in agreement with me and added the stuff to my total. I expected the guy to at least say thanks but he was too busy scratching his tickets to notice what I had done. This is the kind of thing that drives me up the wall.

Yeah, but you did it for the little girl, and I bet the smile was worth it.
